Tom Clancy's: The Division 2 - Official Thread

What's the point of the Dark Zone. Do we get to keep equipment from it? I don't really remember how the DZ worked in the first one

i solo'd The Division, gonna solo The Division 2 in a few days on my channel. I am a master at cheese killing enemies. Hiding in random nooks and crannies is my speciality

Yeah and its typically better gear, but the main point is to satisfy the PvP part most people seem to want from these kinds of games

I can happily report back that the Turret var. Incinerator works. It's also very satisfying to deploy, which is nice, and is a trying target to hit with a frame so slim. Burn, MF'er – BURN. It's a swivelling AoE firestream, in a word, with manageable cooldown; it's time-to-live is not by length of deployment but by how much flame you activate, similar to Shield and punishment absorbed.

An ancillary use I've found that isn't in-description is that it doubles as a hurdle, literally. Guys don't want to cross it (the fire projected is nasty and not FarCry, extinguishable flambé) so I use it to shut down flank routes, for example, letting me focus only on one path instead of two. It's really worked and for the first time in a while, I'm not feeling I wasted Shade.

I would not equip this baby dragon if you're heading into an open area, such as most Control Points or rooftop environments. This is lethal in underground and office hotspots, in my experience.

I'm lvl 16. Running the healing chem and pistol shield. Healing chem is honestly pretty OP. 3 charges that heal about 1/2 armor and charge in 20 seconds. Shield has saved ass so much and it's fun to be the asshole who charges cover.

Easy pickings in DZ. Hunt for her gt begins… :p

I really REALLY hate control points
After the first area I found the control points to actually be a lot of fun. It's the hostage rescues that make me rage. The are always in the middle of the street and people come at you from all sides every time.

Really rough for me, G, was a CP called Toxic Alley, which is in Campus Settlement. It's an east-west alley so you approach via one of two north-south thoroughfares. Every time I'd reposition back to the street, a Hyena patrol element or then ragtag Outcast posse would be there and sometimes even with a veteran in company – huge pain in the bottom. I died so many times and felt like it'd never end. One can 'scout' and strategise all day but when you flare for allies, the HUD lights up and you're all of a sudden fighting in a three-front pressure cooker.

This is CP me – usually in a painful daze and barely hanging on, lol:

Got the Castle settlement glitch where it’s still grayed outnafter completing Jefferson Plaza.

Bbbboooo

I didn't know that was a glitch but mine similarly kept to grey for a bit after Jefferson Plaza; it self-remedied at some point and is now open for Fast Travel. Yours might well do the same, dude. I never go there though; it feels like a sad dump, ha. I dig Campus because of the saxophonist playing on one of the scaffolded walkways as well as the settlement's tucked-away stone bonfire.

Is it a legit settlement? I thought it was supposed to be bombed out and dead

That sounds more Castle, mate, in area of operation's south. Campus is west of Base; it's cool, IMO. Seems like a fitting green zone to decompress, have a drink, and share a laugh with comrades fighting the good fight.

Made a Sherdog clan, called Sherdog, for whenever folks want to start working together

Thinking of getting this, I enjoyed the first Division (about a year after its release)

this one feels like the first one with more npc stuff mixed in not bad it just feels tedious at times.

So.. did someone from here join the sherdog clan or did someone random join?

It was me. I'm only level 12 right now I feel like everybody else is ahead of me. I like playing this game better when I call for help.
