Tom Clancy's: The Division 2 - Official Thread

Wait is that why my turret and hive randomly vanish sometimes? I know you can cancel by aiming BEFORE deploying but if you aim AFTER deploying it’ll also cancel it???
same happens to me. also NPCs randomly get sucked up into the air and disappear lol. its comical. hope they fix these bugs soon

I thought it was the case but it's not. It still did it after I changed that setting. It's pissing me off lol

Hmm, ive had a thing where my drone sometimes disappears but by the time i notice i dont have the cooldown clock, now googling it i think its this https://www.vg247.com/2019/03/15/the-division-2-skills-bug-active-duration/

Seems its a bug and it might have been a correlation thing where you thought it was from aiming

Must be a bug. I was wondering why sometimes it worked and sometimes not. I assumed my firefly got shot down but it would be right there ready to deploy again. I'm only level 4 so just figured it was getting hit too much as I use it during any big fire fight.

Enjoying the stability of the game not like Anthem which is almost unplayable on the PS4 due to all the blue screens I get.

Whatever you do don't get the drone. It's complete shit. Even if it actually targets an enemy, which is about 20% of the time it does almost zero damage. It does drive them out of cover, but when there are 15 other guys flanking you who cares

I'm glad this didn't turn out to be complete trash like Anthem (at least according to the vast majority of reviews).

Would you guys recommend this game to someone who never really played the first one?

I played a few hours of the beta and enjoyed it, but never got around to buying the game. I'm just wondering if I'd be lost going into this one blindly like that and if it expects you to know about all the different mechanics from the first game, OR if it actually does a good job teaching you the basics and establishing itself as a stand-alone experience.

I love it, you have to select who to target though, and yeah the turret is probably better for protecting your flank, but the fact that it moves, draws fire from whoever you target (especially benefitial vs grenade throwers) and follows you to other areas means you dont have to worry about "wasting" it using it midway thru a combat or walking around

Go for it, Chubz. Good game that works on its own with on-screen hints and tutorial panels; if you're also unfamiliar with Ghost Recon, you'll miss some a-ha moments with returning voice actors but no big.

Storywise this takes place 7 months after 1 and focuses on crises in Washington D.C. instead of virus-ravaged New York. Notable in mechanics of play are its move-to-cover style of fight without crouch, prone, or stealth options. Your enemy are four gangs all in bloody feud to take over D.C. – they are the Hyenas, Outcasts, Sons (True Sons, officially), and the Black Tusk, a rogue paramilitary force – which you might remember from the beta's final mission unlock. Tough SOBs.

I haven't yet beat it myself but that's the gist as I have it. It's all I play ATM and delivers every session.

apparently there was a skill bug that they just fixed so I'm gonna give the drone a 2nd chance. I can't unlock any other skills yet at the moment so I don't really have a choice lol.

I have the Turret and the Drone as an extra set of guns. Send the drone one way while the turret looks another and I take out whatever else there is. Really effective on elites when we're all just lighting them up lol

Nice, do the other groups have 12teen million people who rush you with melee? I'm getting real fucking sick of these bitches right now

Well i will warn you against pulse THAT one IS useless. Has a range of about 30 ft and takes forever to cooldown

Hahaha yes they do. Especially the outcasts who explode. Fuck those guys.

Finally finished the tv station (for the second time, first time it was night and raining when i got to the roof, was borderline impossible to see anyone and i rage quit, lol) and got another skill!
Damn the sniper turret is way slower than i expected though, gotta collect some tech to get the regular version

Just unlocked the very same last night – Turret var. Sniper. Don't like it at all and almost lost a bounty because of it with my HVT scorching the earth around me via RPG and MLB-level grenade volleys. Far too much is popping off mid-combat for me to babysit any deployed tech; selective targeting via Striker Drone, to compare, is doable but not also if having to accommodate for 'stationary' line of sight conditions as well as timing, which is the case here as you'd mentioned. It's just ultimately ineffective.

They're just the worst.
I hate most those wheeled, you-seeking bots whose payload are proximity explosives – beep…beep….beep, beep, beep, beep. They're very easy to miss on run-up to you depending on conditions (offices have proven hard, for example, as the buggers are navigating desks and cubicles en route) and you have to reposition if the case or be at peace with significant armour depletion.
