Media Tom Aspinall's eyes one day post surgery

I watched BKFC this weekend for the first time and one guy literally held his hand out at arms length fingers fully extended the entire fight. part of this is on the fighters and refs. you can't fishhook and nut punch a guy either.

You can have your hands out to intercept a punch in BKF but you just can’t launch your fingers out and strike.

I saw Big Ben doing what you’re describing. He had his hands up and out trying to intercept Arvloski’s punches while sherking his head back…really blurs the line.

Fingers are sadly a necessity for high level non-boxing/kickboxing combat related sports

What would you accept as evidence of his injury?
A medical report that doesn’t show his orbital bone got broken Gane.

I mean anything that actually makes sense and doesn’t stink of scam. Everything he’s doing now stinks of scam.

With Stipe, it was very simple, he saw a doctor, and his retina was detached, ufc issued statement.

With Aspinall, first 3 doctors said eye is fine, then he releases 2 documentaries that he might go blind. Another month goes by, and then he releases a report that his orbital bone is broke and that he has brown syndrome, and then he goes into surgery and posts pictures of his eye that makes it look like he had lasik on them and then does thumbs eye pictures with his doctor like this is some kind of weird scam.

It's weird that it's still an issue of contention.

We've seen a billion eye pokes and Tom's fell in line with the rest: there was no bulshitting. He got the fuck poked out of his eyes.

His recovery time will be what it is.

Hmmm... well still I think they should vacate belt and have Pereira fight someone first half of year, then Aspinall fights winner. That is way too long. People were giving Jones for taking that time off end of his career just recently.
I'd normally agree but after all the waiting Tom had to do cause of Jon, I think Tom is owed being able to take time off to heal without being expected to vacate imo.

One thing is certain: he claimed Brown Syndrome, but did some laser procedure in his eyes. Brown Syndrome is not treated with lasers. Somewhere in this story he's lying.

his eyes look worse after the "surgery" than they did when they were "injured."
his projected recovery time is not congruent with actual eye surgeries and i believe danas backhanded comments when he said that toms "surgeries" were merely injections.

tom is a youtuber now. like comment and subscribe to his channel, cuz you wont see him in the cage again.

I had LASIK, this is normal and harmless . Your eyeball is grabbed by a suction cup and pulled slightly off the orbit (yes while you're awake, and yes it is freaking terrifying), what you see is all the tiny blood vessels being burst by the suction. Basically it's a hickey, on the eyeball.
My eyes had visible "bruises" for a month, and I had dry eyes for a couple of weeks, but my vision was fully recovered in one week. I was advised to avoid contact sports for 1 or 2 months, because the flap they open in the cornea is a bit fragile before it is completely healed.

This is all a BIG NOTHING. Tommy had a comfort surgery to improve his eyesight and his trying to milk the eyepoke, he will be fine.

Whether he vacates or not, I don't think it would be a good look to have Gane fighting for the vacant belt.

He robbed Volkov and then ruined the title fight with his blatant foul.

It should be about time that he faces some consequences for his history of fouling.

As long as ciryl gane doesn't get the title shot
I don't give a shit, make it Waldo vs Pereira. I'm not attached to Gane, but he's the only one who hung with Aspinall so far and most decorated. Moreso, I just think Pereira getting a 3rd belt would be better than waiting all year.

It was BS, and 1 BS shouldn't permit another. That's my issue. If the time wasted was the problem, we're okay with him wasting time. I get the logic because fair is fair, but also as a fan we've essentially waited since 2023 Jones/Gane for a real HW title fight. And if Jones taking a year off was horrible so is this, or it wasn't and we just accept this is how championships operate.

Is it confirmed that is it a LASEK surgery he got? Because then it's bullshit, anyone who doesn't want to wear glasses or contact lenses can get that surgery. And you will look like that afterwards, it is normal.

This guy is just milking it at this point.

Exactly. This is basically common knowledge for anyone that uses contact lenses or glasses as it is an alternative presented. Tom got eye poked, his orbital bone got smashed by getting hit by Gane or from past injuries that just accumulated, they found a problem and decided to fix it. This is far but far from what happened that day in the Octagon. What happened just sent him down a path.

You can see it on the pictures on his instagram.
