It's a really sad state of affairs and comes when there is tons of money to be made or wanted by fighters.

Boxing is a cautionary tale for mma when huge money comes over. People think the roster will fill with NFL level athletes when the real outcome will be top guys stalling negotiations to avoid the matches everyone wants. The end result is payouts becoming larger than the profits for the event. Which people clap for because it's fighter pay. But even boxing has had major changes with major orgs stepping out because the juice is being squeezed too hard.

Maybe a major collapse will be good for both sports where the greed removes the ones paying, so they all get peanuts again and we start again.
