- It made a nice change to see the clear difference between elite but still human operators and actual Super Soldiers. Yelena only being able to stop Walker from stabbing her by hitting him point blank with her taser bracelets was a cool touch. I'd have face-palmed if they showed her stopping the knife with brute strength alone.

- The humour was subtle and a nice counterpoint to the otherwise dark and serious tone. I particularly liked Ghost and Yelena taking the piss out off Walker's handgun, ahem, "barrel length". Overcompensating much, John? ;)
The funny thing was Yelena and Ava's little digs had an impact on Walker to the point where he stopped wearing the helmet and is now wearing a beret. <lmao>

The, "Fuck it, Im'a kill this bitch now!" look on Walker's face when he reaches for his gun after Val calls him Junior Varsity Captain America made me chuckle too.

- I caught that too! It's such a signature move of Bucky's. It also underlined just how out of his league he was. The Winter Soldier could give Captain America the fight of his life. Against the Sentry, he doesn't stand a chance. Which is what saves them in the first fight, as they are so far beneath his level, Sentry doesn't see any reason to kill them.
Sentry was clearly holding back and didn't really want to seriously injure or kill them.

Fuck it. I'm changing my rating to 8.5

Six way battle between Superman, Sentry, Homelander, Ikaris, Omni Man and Invincible. Who wins?

Was I the only one who thought John looked a bit like Duke from GI Joe with that beret? ;)

Ooh, I learned something new just now while googling images for his new beret. I noticed that he was also wearing his Army Ranger beret in Falcon and the Winter Soldier. So that's a nice, little callback.

One thing g for certain here is Florence Pugh is a big star or will be one very soon. Very very good actress. She is really cute just has a weird body its like from her shoulders to hip is 1 big rectangle block. Really cute face though and nice lower body. If she keeps in shape she will be a huge star as she's really good.
I think she has a great body to play a super hero. Anne Hathaway was way too skinny as Catwoman, I had a hard time believing that her kicks could hurt a grown man.

But Florence is built like a WMMA fighter. Thick core, and arms/legs that look like they're actually functional.

I hope she doesn't fall into the trap of trying to look like other Hollywood twigs, because she's not fat at all and I think her body is way more realistic for many of her roles.

I'm definitely taking sentry. He has some type of telekinesis and could wreck the other guys without even touching them.

And if they somehow managed to hurt him, he'd just get depressed and absorb them into his bipolar zone.

Finally got around to watching it. Was let down after the high praise it got in this thread. Only one real fight scene against the bad guy, and no real risk of dying at that. The 'heroes' are also really boring in terms of their abilities. Couldn't find myself giving a care about any of them too much.

Anne Hathaway's super perfect. The mall here sometimes has her face on a banner ad and she's gorgeous.

Flo lacks boob size. Her face was very good first time I noticed her which was before I saw the tiny boobs.

pugh must have the epstein list cause i can't imagine anyone with the bucket bodytype she has and the horrendous fake russian accent can actually convince producers to cast her.

she's the female version of miles teller, another actor that i simply cannot comprehend how can be pushed as a star.

Pugh is charming AF, very talented actress, and its a Marvel movie, I doubt anybody doing a Marvel movie is doing voice lessons for 6 months to nail an accent.
Teller will never be a superstar, but I bet he's at the top of every casting director's list when then need "smug" and "mostly unlikeable"
or maybe 2nd on the list after Jesse Eisenberg.
#1 if you include "can believable fight way out of paper bag"

Not until Danial Day-Lewis signs on to play Magneto. ;)

Up until recently, I had no idea DDL called off the retirement to star in a film directed by his kid. I don’t know what the expectations of the film are but I’m on board to see the guy back acting again.

I recently rewatched Gangs of New York and it was a lot of fun to watch that performance again.

I'd love to see Mr Method play the Master of Magnetism,

Day-Lewis, "OK, so first I'll have to invent a Time Machine so I can go back to Nazi Germany, get myself sent to Auschwitz and survive the Holocaust. Next, I'll bio-hack my own DNA to give myself Mutant powers and - "

Fiege, "Uh, Danial that sounds a little extreme. Why don't you just, you know, act out the role of Magneto as he's written in the script?"

Day-Lewis, "Look, if you're not going to take this seriously, don't waste my time!" :)

If MCU got him, it would be quite the shock- since he hasn’t done that type of movie since…ever.

Guy is a dynamo. In Spielberg’s Lincoln, he’s so affable and understated and then you watch him in There Will Be Blood or Gangs of New York, it’s a different world.

I could be completely off base here, but I thought the Butcher sounded like Larry David several times when he was yelling. Particularly in that opening scene where he takes down Liam Neeson.

“None shall touch him!”

Curb music starts playing.

Joking aside, his legacy is secure, so why not take a massive pay cheque for a role that doesn't require him to live in a wheelchair sixteen hours a day or train as a professional boxer for six months? Magneto would be the equivalent of an ex-SWAT officer taking a job as a mall security guard just to boost his pension.

I saw it and thought it was just ok. In the third act really fell apart and there was no real resolution to the movie. The first act was fun and the second wasn’t bad.

I hope he's not playing a dad who hates his kid, cuz that could be traumatizing
