Movies THOR: RAGNAROK v.3 (Dragonlord's Review)

If you have seen THOR: RAGNAROK, how would you rate it?

Where TR failed in the comic relief and comedy department, Infinity War nailed it. The funny moments were perfectly placed in a pretty dark in tone type of movie. I feel like they used Thor better in Infinity War than in any of his own standalone movies.

The Russos were jizzing their pants to finally get their hands on Thor and they did not disappoint. Future Thor directors, take note.

Idk, Infinity War was great but I don’t think it was “funnier” than Ragnarok at all. I actually thought the Thor comedy in Infinity War came across as weird considering
the entire race of Asgardians and Loki were just murdered.
Still loved the jokes but that, to me, was them trying too hard to make him more of a funny character.

The review makes a watch tempting.

Let us know what you think afterwards.

I'll probably rent it a little later. I got shit to do this morning, but then my day is clear.
Honestly, it was my favorite Marvel film. I thought it's style was funny and poppy, and the film was paced really well. Hemsworth, along with RDjr, has the best comedic bone in the MCU

I still didn't like it as much as others seemed to, but it was solid. Wasn't much wrong with it, so I'd give it a Marvel Standard 7/10.

Way better than the first two, though, imo.

I think Drax is the #1 comic relief/funny man in the MCU. Korg might be up there too, but he hasn't got enough screen time. Those two in a space buddy movie would be gold, I tell ya.

Considering you're not a big fan of these type of films, I'll take it.

I enjoy the movies, but I don't really get the hype behind them. They're just super formulaic but, for the most part, they're fun action flicks. I can dig it.

Thor Ragnarok is great, have rewatched it many times

9/10

Finally got around to seeing this. Great movie. Wish I would have seen it before Infinity War.

Update: August 21, 2018

Taika Waitit Voices Korg in the First Meeting of Revolution 2.0 Motion Comic

The first time I tried to watch this, I was put off by the opening scene with Thor slowly twisting around and shut it off. The second time, I powered through that and was rewarded with a great movie. 9/10

Agreed, that scene with Thor chained up was pretty cringe worthy. But obviously the movie really picked up from there.

The rest of the movie made that scene better. It nailed that tone.. If they would not have nailed that tone, it would have been terrible; but they did.

Also, the soundtrack man.. That 80s electronic vibe just works all kinds of ways.

Thor was funny and badass. Hela was very attractive. I even bought the Immigrant Song on iTunes.
