Thor vs. Superman - Who wins?

Who wins?

When Superman fought Shazam or Captain marvel or whatever his name is, the way Shazam won was by hitting Superman with lightning.

Thor could do that all day.

Both characters are lame though. With Superman being the worst of the two.
Are you talking about their battle in Justice league animated series?
That's the only time I can think of when Shazam hit him with lightning. He didn't win, Superman stopped the fight when he realized Shazam is a little boy.
Lmao at lightning hurting Superman.

I've always hated Superman.

So Thor.

esp classic 80's Thor

Regular comic Thor stomps regular Superman.

But it all depends on the writer and which version shows up.

Strongest version of Thor curb stomps strongest Superman.

One million sun dipped super curb stomps normal Thor etc.

Both are gay tho.

Movie version Thor is also generally considered stronger than movie superman.

I actually don't recall where I saw it. But Superman was winning and then Shazam said "Shazam" which caused the lighting to strike both of them, turning Shazam into Billy Batson, while hurting Superman a lot.

When Billy noticed how much it hurt superman, he said "Shazam" again and again, causing himself to switch back and forth between being Shazam and Billy, and wrecking Superman in the process.

I don't remember what happened afterwards. Maybe Superman came back and won somehow. But after seeing how bad the lightning hurts him I'd think Thor would have a big advantage.

That was on Justice League Unlimited. Pretty good episode and it's competitive until Superman beats Shazam into the living death via bank vault but as you say, Shazam then hits Superman with Shazam lightning which is clearly hurting him.

Superman still sons him like Hasbulla but agree this shows Supes is vulnerable to magical lightning and Thor has a path to victory.

I'm more of a Marvel comics guy than DC comics, BUT if I had to be honest in this fictious battle, I'd go with Superman. DC did an interview where they think their characters are stronger but the Marvel heroes have to fight that much harder to ensure their world is kept safe because DC's earth is much different from Marvel's which is similar to ours.

Thor is a god he doesn’t use just magic like sorcery , he does have a belt of strength that doubles his powers and a beam called the god blast which is magical , this combined with weather manipulation gives Thor a big advantage over Superman even if Superman is shown to defeat him , in a prepared fight Thor would win he’d have to much knowledge how to take out Superman but in a fast encounter Superman has the jump on him .

This one was really good a live action fight it starts around @3:58 they dumb Thor down severely but it’s still a good fight , I think he actually knocks Superman out but then Superman wakes up and surprises Thor .

The truth is, whatever the writer wants. Theres enough history and backstory for either character to pull out a win. Practically speaking, DC would never let their flagship characters lose, though.

I don't think an Alien who sits in the sun to get stronger would have an issue with lightning.
He's also super nerfed in that show (which in fairness so is the rest of the league)

People are blinded by their hate for Superman. He beats Thor and Hulk. Thor is a better match though.

They already did this in the JLA vs Avengers crossover. After a long fight, Superman KO's Thor. He admits Thor is one of the toughest opponents he's ever faced, and the fight leaves him so drained he immediately gets curb-stomped by the rest of the Avengers.

Battle of Marvel vs. DC.

Who takes this in a fight?

Superman's Advantages:

Speed: Superman is significantly faster, allowing him to land countless blows before Thor can react.

Raw Strength: Often depicted with superior physical strength and durability.

Versatility: Heat vision, freeze breath, super-senses, flight.

Thor's Advantages:

Magic: A major advantage as Superman is vulnerable to magic, and Thor's powers are magical in nature.

Weapons: Mjolnir/Stormbreaker allow for energy projection, weather control, and immense striking power.

Experience: Thousands of years of combat experience.

The minute they said that Superman is as fast as the Flash, it meant zero chance for anyone else.
