Everyone with any sense already knows they are NOT going to negotiate, and they are obstructionists. It's something the D's are gloating about already. Another shutdown = another loss for Trump, and for all of us, really.

Trump fucked up REALLY badly on this one. Caving in was the worst thing he could do. He lost leverage. He lost momentum. He lost his balls to that cunt from CA. When he tries to use his constitutional powers to have the wall built, it will be obstructed again, and the 9th circuit will again shut him down just like they did with the travel bans. There's no way out for him now. And any American finding satisfaction in watching the country literally self-destruct is an imbecile.

Let's face facts. Congress and the Senate aren't here to help the people. They are there to pad their own pockets and push some kind of fucked up personal agendas, which is why we now have men in women's bathrooms, and wearing a MAGA hat is racist.

The media and obstructionists in the government are the definition of social and economic terrorists.

IF any good comes out of this, it's going to have people start questioning why is government involved in things like airport security and air traffic control instead of having private companies do it better?

Congress is the house and senate combined.

Actually a clever move by Trump given he's currently not best positioned in terms of blame in public view. When nothing is agreed to for 3 weeks by the Democrats who asked to reopen the government to talk about the border funding, he shuts it down again and it will even longer than before. Then pressure is all on Dems to cave.

You're really trying to sell yourself on this but you have to face reality. He is 100% not in a stronger position 3 weeks from now then he was a day ago. Not that he was in a strong position but reopening the government with no funding is going to make it very difficult to then go back to the obstinate position of shutting the government down for wall-funding. The GOP Senate that was keeping him in an even remotely tenable situation by not passing the House bills and forcing him to refuse to sign them, is not going to want to deal with the optics that will come along with him bouncing around from shutdown to shutdown.

He is not gaining breathing room here. He's hoping to deflect his bases attention span.

All I know is the shutdown was racist sexist kkk and trump ending it is too. I’m very upset I got what I wanted. Goddamn it

Also does anyone member when bushs virtual wall was racist sexist kkk?
Pepperidge farm members

So you think Congress isn't out to help the people, but do you believe the Trump administration is?

Nope. If he doesn't get a big chunk of money for the wall, shutdown 2.0

Pelosi can fuck off for wanting a border wider than her gaping twat and Trump can fuck off for not having the stupid wall built yet. They couldn't get this done when the GOP controlled the house and senate!?

he's already caved. At first he was happy to let the shutdown run for years if need be. Now he is temporarily re-opening it because he realises he fucked up.

Face it, he is no master negotiator.... he's a fucking idiot

Why don't you wait 3 weeks and then jump to conclusions. I realize if we again have a shutdown you don't want to eat crow, but it's the responsible thing to do.

The first shutdown was to show that he means it, so the public and Dems understand that he's willing to take risks politically and actually to sit on it for a while. Over a month-longer than anyone by quite a bit. 2nd threat of shutdown, the ball will actually be in Ds court and they can either compromise or face most of blame since they were the ones proposing to "reopen the government for 3 weeks and we'll start the talks on the wall".

How does one have a conversation with someone else who truly believes Donald Trump, perhaps the most objectively sociopathic and narcissistic human on record, cares about the public at large.?

Jared and Ivanka must be pressuring Trump to not build a Wall. Trump himself may have always been bullshitting ; that's what his longtime friend Howard Stern says.

got to love Trump supporters finally turning on him or being dellusional.

As i said before, immigration is all they care about, thats when Trump's base is going to turn on him.

wtf are you talking about? He caved like the little bitch that he is and you are trying to twist this as some form of victory. its pathetic.

I have nothing to eat crow about. You goons should do some reflection instead of trying to project your insecurities elsewhere

I can somewhat agree in that I was disappointed with his move. But, I think it was always going to come down to the emergency declaration and the supreme court.

I'm a Trump supporter but both sides of Congress are obstructionist pieces of shit. The right did the same with Obama...on fact I think they prefer their roll as obstructionists better than having all 3 branches of government as evidenced by how little they accomplished.

The fact is our government is dysfunctional. I can't remember the last time they passed bipartisan common sense legislation. They have all the power in the world to improve our country but they don't..they are power hungry corporate shills.

It's not surprising that they get away with it though when you see people celebrating Nancy like their team scored a touchdown. She's playing to the tds crowd and they eat it up
