The thing that bothers me is that almost all illegal aliens are criminals. They do things like commit identity theft (stolen social security numbers), drive without insurance, provide aid to criminals (other illegal aliens), etc. on a daily basis. Our immigration policy should be to not invite criminals into our country.

And what about chain migration? I feel for the dreamer kids. But are they going to chain migrate in their illegal families that broke the law getting them here? Breaking the law should not be rewarded just because you popped out a kid. That's so messed up.

Why don't you wait 3 weeks and then jump to conclusions. I realize if we again have a shutdown you don't want to eat crow, but it's the responsible thing to do.

The first shutdown was to show that he means it, so the public and Dems understand that he's willing to take risks politically and actually to sit on it for a while. Over a month-longer than anyone by quite a bit. 2nd threat of shutdown, the ball will actually be in Ds court and they can either compromise or face most of blame since they were the ones proposing to "reopen the government for 3 weeks and we'll start the talks on the wall".

As the liberal heads are exploding look for release of FISA memos and for investigations into dems target rich environment of serious crimes.

I just don't see the moderates and all the folks that fell for the disinformation campaign voting for him again. He never tried to be the President of the USA. The question is whether he's going to jail or not

All the Democrats want is for him to be out of office, Period.

I feel that once he's out and someone else is in, they could care less what he does or what happens when he's no longer in a position of power.

As far as voting goes, we'll just have to see what transpires in 2020.

It's still 11+ months away. Let's see what else happens from now until then.

If he caves, he loses his base.
The termporary re-open is to take blame off himself when he shuts it down again after 3 weeks. This is his way of putting all the pressure on Dems by showing that he is in good faith reopening the government, assuming they get to a compromise. And if they don't at 3 weeks, he closes it down again.

From what I'm hearing and seeing, he might go the Executive Order / National Emergency route instead of shutting it all down.
