It's being older and having a harder time keeping up... we aren't in our 20s anymore watching and absorbing everything mma..

It makes it harder to get excited about cards... I still love Max Holloway, Justin, olives, but I only know half the fighters when I watch a card now and that's on the ppvs during a fight night I usually only know the main event fighters

The product is comically oversaturated with hundreds of mediocre regional fighters and far too many mediocre cards. And I'll get shit for this, but the lower weight classes and the women have been a shit addition too. It was great when every fight was 155 and up. Now you look at these cards and 80% of them are 145lbs and under and women fights.

I usually just catch the main card of every PPV and that scratches the itch at this point. Like tonight. The main, co main, and Paddy vs Green are all quality fights I'm looking forward to. 95% of the product at this point I don't care about, but the 5% is still enjoyable.
 
The card tonight for instance is very medicore.

I will watch because enjoy live MMA, but I wouldn't pay $30 for tonight's main card.
 
Well it does suck in the sense, when a fight that should be made, a fight that the fans want, an actual heavyweight clash that has everything in Jones VS Aspinall, and the UFC refuses to make it happen.
 
UFC have done a shit job of building new stars in the last 7-8 years.

Maybe it lines up with the WME purchase. It just seems to me like they spent a bunch of money and only wanted to do whatever short term "money fight" they could, but in the process they did significant damage to the credibility to the point that that now it is totally normal for guys on wins streaks to get passed over for title shots for loudmouths like Colby with no ranked wins.

This is the kind of garbage that paved the way for Jones vs Stipe where Stipe:
- hasn't won in 4 years
- hasn't got a win over ANYONE on the roster, let along anyone ranked.
-coming off a brutal KO loss

Basically the UFC expects fighters to promote themselves and carry ALL of the weight of building themselves into stars. Also the UFC seems to have stopped scouting other orgs and putting any effort into signing the best guys in the world, they would clearly rather put guys in DWTNCS, pay them 10/10 or 12/12 instead of paying for champs of Rìzin, OneFC or KSW etc. This has especially hurt the heavier men's divisions and it doesn't make any sense.

Look how well Jiri has done, why not learn from that an poach more guys from European, Asian and South American regional orgs?

Fans have gotten so fat on the amount MMA content the UFC gives us that its hard to ever have time to build up fights, fighters, and events.

Poatan yes. How about Shavkat? I think Max is a natural star and Ilia is worth watching. I think the guy (Steve Erceg) who lost to Pantoja deserves mentioning. I would even stretch and give DDP a mention. It sounds like you might be suffering from MMA burnout. You might want to get that checked out.

You're right it's bound to happen because the ufc can't and doesnt promote anyone for shit.. literally all they have is omalley.. left and a Muslim fan base they need to hold on to.
