The UFC is pretty much dead, to me

The org is in a weird transitionary phase where there aren't any fighters who are intriguing both in & out of the cage. I can't remember the last time a soundbite from an interview or press conference stuck in my mind longer than 48 hours after. More interesting characters who are also elite will come along, but they're rare, so it's a waiting game.

They're also making a big push toward reaching "legitimacy" as a proper mainstream sport which has inevitably sanitized the events and overall identity quite a bit. If you want more of a "raw" production like UFC was many years ago you have to go to smaller orgs, but it still won't be exactly the same of course.

You should try watching tennis, golf, and the Olympics are on right now as well.

Probably more your speed at this point.

If you are not excited about UFC cards anymore, I suggest you spend your time somewhere else

I was a diehard NBA fan for 30 years. About 3-5 years ago, they turned their back on longtime fans like me and turned the product into a watered down, unentertaining slog. It started before that but that's when it got bad in my estimation. So I stopped watching. It wasn't until this year that I started picking it up again. If that's how you feel, maybe you should try the same. No point investing in something that isn't doing for you. I'm personally super excited about tonights event, but I'm no fan of the watering down of the ufc product through the espn contract myself.

I agree. I'm interested in Kayla, Shavkat, and Weilli. Tairo really impressed me. I was interested in MVP until I realized he had a stroke and it wiped out all grappling knowledge from his brain.

Honestly, if it wasn't for the PBP threads here I wouldn't even watch UFC any more. It's just become hot garbage from a company that really wants to profit off of hot garbage.

Its in a pretty weak period but there are still good cards here and there and some good/exciting fighters. Poatan brings prime Wand/Cro Cop energy and is must watch, Aspinall is a super athletic well rounded big HW, Islam looks like a monster who can actually hold his own on the feet in addition to his Dagi wrestling etc etc.

Oh and fucking Robocop tonight. How could you not love that guy?

Check out Christian Leroy Duncan, who fights tonight.

Same style as MVP but younger and more potential.

Bro have you ever heard of Jimmy Crute?

Didn’t think so

kick rocks beta casual Manlet
And turn in your hotdog brander on your way out !
