The timeline of Jon Jones refusing to fight Ngannou

Jones is constantly cautious (not so say scared) about loosing. Would not fight Sonnen as backup after full camp, no Reyes rematch, obviously ducked Francis as much as he could.

He cherrypicks opportunities, like getting belt against Gane, I don't consider that HW belt, Gane is average fighter and lost to Francis - Jones jumped in quickly when that opportunity arose since Gane has ground game of a average teenage girl.

Now the same with Stipe, he did not want Aspinal, because it is much harder fight, just hope Stipe gets the job done.

There are certain posters trying to spin the narrative about who was ducking who. I remember this time period so I compiled the news that came out about these negotiations and there's a documented 2 and a half years of Jon Jones refusing to fight Ngannou.

5/29/2020 - Jones is asking for Deontay Wilder money (30 million) to fight Ngannou

3/27/2021 - Dana says Jones should go to middleweight and doesn't really want to fight Ngannou

3/29/2021 - Jones begs to be cut, goes on a rant against the UFC

3/31/2021 - Jones says he met with Hunter to negotiate and told him 10 million is way too low to fight Ngannou

8/8/2021 - Dana isn't even thinking about Jones, he won't be back until 2022

10/21/2022 - Dana says Jones isn't available won't be coming back until 2023

Now maybe you believe Jones deserved 30 million for that fight and was right to sit out. But don't twist the narrative.
30 mil is unreasonable and I'm a Jones fan. But for an "undefeated" fighter and consensus GOAT to step up in weight class, he deserved way more than that Conor mcregor money.

Thanks for doing that.

And yes, Jones ducked Ngannou.

The way fighters duck today is they just make demands they know won't be met.

I want 30 million.
I want to fight in xx City
I want only an hour and you have to come to California, etc.

Francis was too busy wanting to fight a smaller man in jones than give stipe a rematch. Never understand his fans and how they wanted him to fight a smaller man or even leave the ufc rather than fight stipe who had the grace and class to give Francis a rematch after tooling him up and making him look like a novice.

Is this AI? Dana us the most honest person I have rever seen.

Francis had to wait 3 years and cleanup the division to get his rematch, Stipe again got KOd into a title shot.

Should have just paid them Conor money and be done with it.
$10 million is Conor money. Jones' best selling PPV against Cormier II did about $40 million in revenue at its reported 860k PPV buys and $3mil gate. Asking for $30 million for a fight is pricing yourself out as far as I'm concerned.

Dana sucking jones dick every chance he gets as soon as Ngannou leaves tells you everything you want to know.

I'd like to see the Twitter battle between Jon and Frank that started the whole thing. It was like after Ngannou flattened Rozenstruik, Jon pipes up that the HW division sucks, so Frank's like really, why don't we settle it in the cage, and that started a few weeks of Jon desperately trying to find a way out of it without looking like a pussy, so he ends up asking for a ridiculous amount of money knowing he would never get it. At least that's the way I remember it

This is why I don't get these Francis Fellators.

I feel like most people are sensible enough to know that no one ducked anyone here. Terms simply could not be met between the 3 involved parties.

Only people with an agenda NEED it to be one guy ducked the other.

Ngannou made the best decision for his career.

Jones made the best decision for his career.
LMAO well at least you changed your tune from Ngannou being the duck to a neutral position once presented with the facts.

Where on earth are you getting 8-14 million? LMAO and the article you quote doesn't even support your position.

I never said Francis ducked anyone I was always neutral. All I ever said was Francis wanted to fight in boxing before he ever signed to fight Jones. It was a matter of the timing. You're just sensitive so anything you hear not in full support of your opinion frightens you and makes you knee jerk react.
