Television The Star Trek Thread V6.0

I'm out of town, and the hotel had the heroes network, and I was pleased to see they play a 4-hour block of Star Trek every night. They play TNG, DS9, VOY, and ENT. Been a long time since I've watched Enterprise on non-streaming TV
I use to have that channel and watched that block for years. It was addictive.

Animated series was so weird

Didn't they duke it out with Satan in an ep?

lol

And didn't Gene Roddenberry declare it non-canon?

I did watch these but forget em all now
Its considered canon. It was made with Roddenberry and written by trek writers.

Forgot that i used to have a crush on this woman. Still would with the force of one million phasers
She's still a good looking women. She recently married Leonard Nimoys son, after they met at a Star Trek convention. Here's a recent photo of here

New Nickelodeon star trek series is,

Star Trek: Prodigy

Short Treks are back, with another Pike episode. These have been great this year. Another new Enterprise set, this time the engineering room. More and more evidence of an incoming Pike series.

Anyone watch/listen to any of The 7th Rule podcast? Casually check it out from time to time.

Aron and Cirroc are chill dudes, gets goofy at times. Think it's coming up to the last episode recorded with Aron soon. RIP.
Yeah I really enjoyed the show. It was funny hearing Cirroc talk about the episodes, becuase he's never watched them, and has lots of cool stories about being a kid and running wild across the back lots of paramount.

Kinda think they need a new 3rd member to keep going.

Look what they are recording today

Really wondering whether they will drop additional material. Kind of expecting they will not (really).

I would also like to get a timeline for Lower Decks. I am excited about that one, but they're not giving us more details yet.

We get the Picard countdown comics next week. I'm pretty sure during Dec and Jan there is going to be a big media and advertising push for Picard. Also wouldn't surprise me to get a DSC season 3 release date soon. I'm guessing DSC will be coming in the spring, with Lower decks in the Fall.

The latest articles on the state of the franchise never seemed to mention the 2020 release date for LDX*.

Just my guess. I think Kurtzman was initially all in on animation, and was going to try to have many animated shows, but is now seeing how long the process takes. LDX looks like traditional quality animation, which takes forever to produce. The team for the Nickelodeon show, specializing in a mix of animation, with CGI that can be made faster and cheaper, which will be key for kids focused show. The next short treks are both animation, so I will be curious to see the quality and how they are received. Remember their plan is to basically have a new trek show ready to go, year round.
