Sounds like the movie did it better other than the deaths. Wish both Dan and Billy would have lived.
This movie was spot on and great. They did a great job with casting the true knot and rose the hat and snake bite andi were great. Both weirdly hot as hell.
I kind of had a serious issue with the race swap of Abbie from a blonde girl to a black girl, but the actress was great in the movie. I still think it was an unnecessary change to the story, but it worked out. My only issue with that is that there would be so much negative press had it been the other way around. Obviously King was ok with the swap, but I hate when they change things like that from the book.
Moderate spoiler. The ending is way different from the book, and the last thirty minutes were radically changed, but it was my favorite movie of 2020 so far, and it will he tough to beat. I was very impressed with this adaptation, which is so rare. Even better than the It remakes.
Yeah, I think the weaker parts of the movie were when they called back to Kubrick film. It did feel very fan service-y and cheesy, but I suppose that's what you get when making a Hollywood movie.I pretty much liked everything except for the. That felt very cheesy and fan-servicey. Other than that, it was pretty great. Rose the Hat was the best movie villain in years, Ewan did well and Abra was a great child actor that was instantly likable.unleashing all of the ghosts to kill Rose.
I kinda wish that Flannigan stayed away from the Kubrick stuff and just did a straight adaptation of the book. I'm sure the studio wanted all of the Kubrick stuff though but I felt that brought the movie down. Thankfully there wasn't too much but what was there didn't feel necessary
I've seen the movie 3 times now and my favorite scene continues to be.Rose astral traveling. Such a cool scene and I love how all you get is ambient sound and a heart beat for seemingly 5 minutes. It's amazing and unlike anything I've seen in a movie. It's a wonder they let him put something like in a modern movie.
they went for more of a sequel to the film which was radically different than Kings text so it does make sense actually.
