The letter means a lot btw. Mueller thought it was important to formally show his view on Barr's summary. I don't know why you'd just write it off.

Does Trump saying, “I hope AG Barr looks into X” in one of his rally speeches count as someone in the White House suggesting that he should investigate X? Is he lying if he says no one from the White House suggested it to him if that was actually said in some speech?

I’d want to clarify it too. So would Kamala, but she knows that.

The fact that Mueller even wrote this says a lot, as opposed to just making a call to his "friend" Barr.

Mueller could see the game Barr was playing and its a two faced game.

While misrepresenting his work and his report and trying to spin it in the most politically partisan way possible when Mueller had just spent 2 years trying to ensure it was non partisan and independent of politics.

Mueller does not want to get dragged in to a spin game with Barr where Barr keeps recharacterizing everything he says. Even on the below Barr is trying to spin a clearly written statement as if Mueller was talking about the Press, when he was not. He was talking about what Barr had done.
