Lol, high stakes.Your Country...
Lol, high stakes.Your Country...
Lol, high stakes.
I'd be cool with Barr Rod and Mueller all testifying together.
PREDICTION. When Mueller testifies he will not testify that Barr did anything wrong and he will back up Barr when it comes to this infamous letter
ANOTHER PREDICTION....when Mueller testifies he will confirm he did not write the letter and did not actually write the bulk of the report
The point with the letter is about what the letter says, that Mueller was concerned that the public had a misunderstanding about the "nature and outcome" of the investigation, based on what Barr released in lieu of the introduction and executive summaries that the Mueller team had prepared. And Mueller asked again for those to be released ASAP.
And again, putting something like this on paper, as opposed to just having a telephone conversation about it is very atypical at the DOJ:
"Chuck Rosenberg, the former acting director of the Drug Enforcement Administration. who served as Mueller's counsel while he was FBI director in the early 2000‘s, said it was “very rare“ for Justice Department officials to put anything in writing, as Mueller did.
“We are conditioned not to ‘go to paper,‘” Rosenberg said. “And the idea behind that is that we‘re all part of the same department and we‘re not trying to corner each other. There are times you get mad, or frustrated, and think someone is making a bad decision. But you pick up the phone and call them. I think I only went to paper a handful of times in 20 years at the Justice Department. In the time I worked for Bob in the FBI, I can‘t think of a time he did that.“

What's the bet?
Does not contradict what exactly? I want to take the bet I'm just not sure exactly how we'd decide the winner. That Mueller does not contradict Barr on the letter. And also does not state the Barr summary is misleading or inaccurate in ANY way

I think Mueller will state what his letter said!
I don't think Mueller wrote the letter.
It seemed a political move. Especially considering Mueller supposedly had a different tone over the phone
So Barr declines to testify tomorrow and Muller has a go on the 15th of the month...
An interesting few weeks ahead
That you're taking credit for saying Mueller would object if Barr misrepresented the report, but now that he has said something, you still aren't holding Barr accountable.I'm not really paying attention at this point. The full Mueller report is out, and I'd rather focus on the alleged conspiracy/obstruction of justice than the politics/optics.
What are your thoughts?
Are you saying Mueller won't confirm the following:He will back Barrs assessment of their conversation and state the letter was not about anything wrong with barrs summary. But more angst at the medias conclusions
You seem to think Barr did something wrong with his summary. It's an easy bet then. If you are right Mueller will state Barr did something wrong
That is unless, you actually believe barr did nothing wrong
Even in your conspiracy theory here, he actually signed the letter, no? Mueller isn't going to sign a letter unless he backs the contents.
And you are just hearing Barr's recollection/spin of their phone call. And again, him writing (or even signing in your conspiracy theory) is very atypical in the DOJ, even more so given Barr's belief that they and their families are friends.

C'mon, man, gimme a puff.Mueller is actually andnowIDontKnowShit, Trotsky, PEB, Joe, KONG, HILL(even though I think he's cool), Mike McMoronn, Crazy Charcoal, Strychnine, Barry "I'm Really Homer Thompson" Dillon, and PolishHeadLock's *HERO* right now 'cause he's given them something to latch onto that's even more hilarious than Fake News.....and that is FAKE HOPE.![]()

Are you saying Mueller won't confirm the following:
The summary letter the Department sent to Congress and released to the public late in the afternoon of March 24 did not fully capture the context, nature, and substance of this Office’s work and conclusions. We communicated that concern to the Department on the morning of March 25. There is now public confusion about critical aspects of the results of our investigation. This threatens to undermine a central purpose for which the Department appointed the Special Counsel: to assure full public confidence in the outcome of the investigations.
I'm trying to pin down "wrong". To me he already confirmed the summary was wrong (see the above paragraph from his letter).
I think Barr did a ton wrong but it's not something that will be contradicted by Mueller.Lol. That means nothing. That's political gobbledygook. Context and nature? He is a prosecutor. That's political talk
I'm willing to bet Mueller does not contradict Barrs testimony at all. So do you think Barr did something wrong or not?
Crazy you are accusing anyone of CTs. Lol
So you are so sure Barr did something wrong and Mueller will back that......then bet it
Are u willing to bet your CT?

Robert Mueller to testify to congress about Trump-Russia report, senior Democrat says
Announcement after revelation that special counsel told attorney general William Barr his summary 'did not fully capture the context, nature and substance' of report
"A deal has been brokered for Robert Mueller to testify to Congress about his report into Russian election interference and possible obstruction of justice by Donald Trump – an event that has immediately become the latest, most eagerly anticipated appearance of an official on Capitol Hill."
