So who here thinks Mueller should testify?


I think he should so this whole circus can finally end.
 
This disturbing Barr testimony has me thinking we could very well have an Emperor of the US of A tomorrow or the next day and no one will stop this. Not the corrupt republicans. Not the AG.

I think he needs to testify to set things straight about Barr stating: “If [Mueller] had found enough evidence for an obstruction charge, I think he would state it,” as it directly contradicts the rationale Mueller laid out in his report. Mueller indicated in a legal analysis of obstruction of justice that “fairness” dictated he not reach a formal judgment on whether the president obstructed justice — regardless of the evidence, and that “The conclusion that Congress may apply the obstruction laws to the President’s corrupt exercise of the powers of office accords with our constitutional system of checks and balances and the principle that no person is above the law,” Mueller’s team wrote.

Barr has made it a circus on purpose to try to take the focus off of the actual report, he should have just released what Mueller wanted to release to congress and to the public.

He doesn't appear to have accepted this interpretation, "“The conclusion that Congress may apply the obstruction laws to the President’s corrupt exercise of the powers of office accords with our constitutional system of checks and balances and the principle that no person is above the law,” Mueller’s team wrote.
Seems to me like he said the opposite, repeatedly even.

Yup. It was on Hannity nightly. Rod was a witness in the investigation. Actually fired Comey and signed off on at least 1 FISA warrant

But you guys were certain yesterday that Mueller agrees with Barr completely. What happened? Did they release the letter today or something? Did the MAGA team make bullshit claim 143,243?

That is reviewing it. Every DA I’ve ever worked with has accepted my characterization of the evidence when deciding to file or not. He reviewed the facts outlined by his investigator in the investigators report and made his yay or nay decision.

They don’t go reinvestigate all of it to makes sure their deputy got it all right

Exactly, Barr misrepresented that Mueller had not come to a conclusion on obstruction and therefore he needed to as AG, when it was clear that Mueller was just following DOJ guidelines about not indicting a sitting POTUS. Based on what Mueller wrote, he obviously would have expected the AG, as a servant of the DOJ, not to have to come to a conclusion either, expecting the report to be handed to congress, given its purview.

I'm looking forward to his testimony (although I wouldn't be surprised if Rs try to prevent it from happening). But I suspect you're going to be disappointed.
 
I'd be cool with Barr Rod and Mueller all testifying together.

PREDICTION. When Mueller testifies he will not testify that Barr did anything wrong and he will back up Barr when it comes to this infamous letter

ANOTHER PREDICTION....when Mueller testifies he will confirm he did not write the letter and did not actually write the bulk of the report
