Here's what I mean :

You were caught being an asshole and changed your post. We can all see it. Hopefully you're gone.

Idk man, I'm saying a ton of lawyers say the opposite. That DA's do review the evidence.

They review them for an overall standpoint. They don’t actually start pulling evidence items out of evidence and analyze it all themselves.

JESUS dude.

There is 400+ pages of evidence, here say and rumor in this thing. He can not pick and choose what to check.

Barr can check whatever he wants to.

Fuck man, you are asking him to go re check the whole dossier bullshit.

No I'm not. I think he should have checked the evidence for obstruction since it was his decision to proceed or not.

He has to take the document as a professional piece done by the man hired to actually conduct the investigation

And admitted that he was surprised Mueller didn't make a definite conclusion and admitted parts were strange to him.

What if he checked the evidence and found it faulty or untrue. Then you'd say he's actually obstructing himself.

Huh? If that was the case I'd argue the investigation was bad.

Nothing will satisfy you

Lazy bullshit claim not based on anything.

I'm saying that maybe...

Just maybe...

He could've done his due diligence. You know that thing that his oath of office alluded to.

No. You wanted him to recheck the report

And if he had done that you'd want him shot in public

So you'd be cool with him speaking to witnesses and Trump himself to check the evidence of the report? Trump answered questions....so barr would need to clarify his answers

So you'd be cool with Barr re interviewing all the subjects in part 2 before releasing the report?

th

No.

In a report of this magnitude when A.G. Barr says "I didn't look at the underlying evidence." It seems as if he had his mind made up already.

They review them for an overall standpoint. They don’t actually start pulling evidence items out of evidence and analyze it all themselves.
Barr said he did not review it though and just accepted Mueller's characterization of the evidence.

Jesus. Now people are pissed Barr accepted the report at face value

No, he spun the investigation with his memo, instead of releasing what Mueller carefully prepared for release to congress and to the public, and Mueller responded to that in writing with:

"I previously sent you a letter dated March 25th, 2019 that enclosed the introduction and executive summaries for each volume of the special counsels report marked with redactions to remove any information that potentially could be protected by Federal Rule of Procedure...accordingly the enclosed documents are in a form that can be released to the public consistent with legal requirements and department policies. I am requesting that you provide these materials to congress and authorize the public release at this time"..

And, it was clear that Mueller concluded that it was not the DOJ who should be making the call, based on the DOJ policy that a sitting POTUS could not be indicted. Barr, as a political appointee, inserted himself into the role of the decider:

“The conclusion that Congress may apply the obstruction laws to the President’s corrupt exercise of the powers of office accords with our constitutional system of checks and balances and the principle that no person is above the law,” Mueller’s team wrote.

So you'd be cool with Barr re interviewing all the subjects in part 2 before releasing the report?
Holy shit you are slow. He should review the transcripts of the interviews not attempt to recreate the evidence.

So what are your thoughts on Barr misrepresenting?
I'm not really paying attention at this point. The full Mueller report is out, and I'd rather focus on the alleged conspiracy/obstruction of justice than the politics/optics.

What are your thoughts?

Barr said he did not review it though and just accepted Mueller's characterization of the evidence.

That is reviewing it. Every DA I’ve ever worked with has accepted my characterization of the evidence when deciding to file or not. He reviewed the facts outlined by his investigator in the investigators report and made his yay or nay decision.

They don’t go reinvestigate all of it to makes sure their deputy got it all right

Holy shit you are slow. He should review the transcripts of the interviews not attempt to recreate the evidence.

Honestly, that is all beside the point unless Barr is claiming that he would actually indict a sitting POTUS if the evidence were there to support it.

Then why did Barr say he did not review it? I think you're having a disconnect.
