The Pub - Belph's Battle with Anorexia

No underwear under the singlet might translate to a loss of potential profits, too.

I heard Ed Coan tell a story that makes me think I should wear underwear when in singlet or in gear.

Anyone who runs a bit and hasn't experimented with shifting to forefoot striking (landing on your forefoot rather than your heel)- I highly recommend experimenting with it. I've been doing it for about 6 weeks now, and it already feels pretty natural and feels a *lot* better than landing on your heels. You contact with the ground is light and bouncy, rather than thudding. Plus, your calves get a hell of a pump. Useful for those with stringy, matchstick lower legs.

DrB's name being of the names I'm not going to name

I used to think that changing the way you run would be just too difficult after decades of running in the same way, but it actually hasn't been that way at all. The only thing seems to be that you need to gradually introduce it.

^^I'll have to try that once/if I get back to running.

Last nights stuffed zucchini was heavenly. Stuffed it chicken, blue cheese and cheese and just a bit of lemon juice at the bottom. Incredible.

(Seriously though, I was taught to run that way as a teenager playing baseball it's just that I don't run much. Though I've been doing more conditioning lately and feel like my calves do have a bit of definition, I'll post pics at some point)

Cool. I wasn't even aware it was a thing until a couple of years ago. I really wonder if I would have trashed my knees so badly if I had been doing it from the beginning.

I'm not sure about long distance running, but for shorter distances, forefoot striking has been taught for quite some time. I think.

I have found that people aren't "taught" to run. I know that I certainly wasn't by anyone in my family or in PE. It was a case of "move like this" where that person may or may not have ran heel-first contact or on the balls of the feet, then when I would replicate by running on my heel first I would get a "good job".

Some cats just fought in our yards tree. It was just like the scene from Lion King where scar kills Mufasa. Except from tree. And they were cats. But I'm sure the other cat whispered to the other "Long live the king".
