The odds just released for who's going to be LHW champ, end of 2026

Khamzat is officially moving up in weight after his fight in April, since there were no money bouts to have down at MW.
Alex is rumored to switch to boxing during 2026, or at latest 2027, to see how far he can come there. Looking to make history.
Jiri is thinking about a move to MW, still a bit disappointed in not taking Alex's power as well as he's been able to against others.

I wonder if UFC will really give him this opportunity after just one title defense, especially when he's not exactly struggling to make the weight ie Topuria getting the LW title shot.

Jiri at +600 is pretty nice. Alex will probably be at HW or retired, and the Chances of Khamzat fighting a 2nd time in 2026 is slim to none. I think Jiri beats Ulberg and whichever Russian emerges out of Ankalaev & the guy that KO'd Rakic with a jab.

I dunno, man. He looked ridiculously terrible against Khalil. Sure, he eventually got the win, but he’s not showing improvement. If anything, he’s depreciating in quality and skill. This is based on that last performance, and who knows, maybe he just had a bad night.
His style of acting like a maniac but gritting out until opponents tire of beating him up and then blasting them, it’s not a sustainable practice. I can’t bet on Jiri to somehow find a great revival within that. It’s already kinda a mockery of the sport that he’s as successful as he is.

His continuing to ask for a third fight with Alex, I think, also shows just how lacking in self awareness he is. Like, can you imagine if he brought that game he did to Roundtree to a third fight with Alex. His game plan is to just brawl. That’s what he did the last fight and got wrecked. I’m not sure he’s ok.

i think he could for sure have a shot beting poatan. styles make fights and poatan isn't a ground fighter. but if he beats peirera, how would he fair against ankalaev, for example?

yeah its ank or jiri end of year. Khamzat goes inactive or stays at 185. Poatan moves to HW, boxing, or retires. Ank at -700 seems like a good deal
