Prime Randy vs Prime Hendo at LHW

Crazy thing about Matt Lindland....he really had no business stepping up against some of the people he fought. Got fucked up immediately by Robbie Lawler. Fucked up immediately by Vitor Belfort. Fucked up almost immediately by Fedor....

Like watching someone outside the gas station get his ass whooped repeatedly.

Lindland really had his shit together in the mid 00s. Went on a really good streak and almost beat Rampage (not long before Rampage went on to become UFC LHW champ).


I'd take Randy. I think he'd out wrestle Hendo and avoid his bombs.

I agree with what seems to be the consensus here. I favor Randy but it would clearly be one of two outcomes: Randy via better wrestling/gameplanning or Hendo by sneaking in an H-bomb.

Yeah, Randy pretty much beat every other wrestler he faced as well, except a much bigger Brock when Randy was old. He beat Tito, Mike Van Arsdale, Randleman and Coleman. Granted, Randleman is the only one of those guys who had KO power anywhere close to Hendo's. But I still favor Randy as I said earlier.

Hendo would murk him if he fought him like Wand did.....but Randy never played to a fighter's strengths. He'd have clinched up and likely gotten the better of Dan through control. Likely a relatively boring decision for Handy. This isn't to say Dan could catch him but I think that's more likely a 8/10 Randy situation.

Great matchup I never even thought of. I could see either guy winning but I'd love to see them stand next to eachother because I think Randy is way bigger and stronger. He is so good at muffling powerful strikers and just doesn't give them any space to get leverage and crack him.

Chuck was one of the few who did it with great TDD and quick feet. Couture gave him too much space after getting stuffed. Hendo though has the ultimate touch of death even when he barely has any room to load up on a shot. He's got that 1 inch punch like that small Asian dude popular since the 60s.

Sightly favor Randy here. Tough, gritty, dominant, suffocating.
