Judo: Dan grading. Was accompanying my eldest son who is going for his 1st Dan, I thought whilst I'm there I may aswell start my attempt for my 2nd Dan. I won 3 fights, lost 2, but due to lack of numbers, I didn't qualify for a line up. Still, 30 points towards my 2nd Dan that I didn't have yesterday!


My son qualified for a lineup, but unfortunately lost the last fight of said line up, so no 1st Dan for him today. He's on 90 points so just needs 1 more ippon win against another brown belt to get his black belt.

Judo has some of the toughest requirements for a black belt of any martial art.
