The different is that we don't get a pass while fans of other douchebags do for replicating their manners on sherdog, is almost as if they weren't the inspiration for that sort of action.

Been saying from the start, all the hype and the behaviour pre-fight is mocking how many of the hypetrains do that sort of stuff. But Sherdog just can't spot trolling.

It's absurd the amount of good threads that die in the first page meanwhile a thread saying "Mike Perry will KO Jobum in 10 seconds lol" will have 600 people rustled attacking OP for no reason as if the guy is dead serious about hyping a fighter.

Internet forums are the arsehole of society.

The majority of it's population are hiding here away from the reality of themselves with stupid AVs and Usernames pretending to be people they are not.

Their hatred for a confident disposition is not surprising. That's why I love Honda and Colin. It's not Platinum's fault he leaks confidence like a creampied prolapsed rectum after an unlicensed gangbang production.

He preyed on innocent people and stole their possessions to feed his drug habit. I'm pretty sure that's a greater cause for dislike than just being confident. The guy is a walking, talking stereotype of a bottom feeder.

Their train of thought isn't wrong. I just don't see how they can't give the guy a break seeing his putting effort into changing that.

Even the way he acts as a fighter is trying to make himself known and change his life. I can't hate on anybody doing that.

Nothing can change the past, but still, is up to him to make himself a better future. We know that people in these situations don't do the right things 9 times outta 10, Mike is at least trying.

I get the love and the hate and the shit talk and all of that, and I'm all for it, it's fun. But you gotta realize, Perry is a new phenom. I've been watching Jouban and cheering him on for like 3 years now, and all of the sudden 100's of my Sherbro's are cheering for him to get his jaw knocked off by this newbie brawler. Like it's all a big joke, and this face tatted brawler comes along and he's just supposed to destroy Alan, leave him in the dust, and move on to bigger and better fights. What about Alan? He's just supposed to be the sacrificial lamb to this new hype train? He's put in more work and is the better fighter, and he deserved to win.

I have no idea, but since he engaged in such activity over the course of several years, I'm not sure what he does in the present day gives him a free pass. If you were one of his victims, would you turn the other cheek and forgive him? I doubt it.

If a large part of your life has been defined by being a predator of society, it's unlikely that you will ever deviate from such behaviour in the future.

What Perry displays isn't confidence, it's insecurity, he's a self fulfilling prophecy of what society has labelled him as, a criminal. That's what people find annoying about him.

I don't, but speculating seems kinda silly. It'd be like saying "Gustafsson used to beat the shit out of people for no reason and was in jail, how do you know he still doesn't?"

I gotta go with Kone and is girls on this one. A lot of pro athletes were assholes in their past, but once they turn pro, they realize they have a lot to lose. If Perry knocks some dude out at the bar, he's going to be sued for more than he will ever make.

Silly because he has money from UFC now? But when he gets cut and have no money will he break into homes again? He could. I don't see him changing his thug attitude.

Also even if he is not doing it now he still did it in the past and I have my right to not like a person who went down that path. Many guys were in bad situations and chose not to commit a crime. So when you ask me why I don't like him that is why. Don't see why I have to adore someone like Perry. There are other people worth respecting but it seems like a lot of people these days are suckers from this redemtion stories instead of respecting I don't see what Perry achieved in his life that we should look up to and adore. You can like him all you want, I won't.
