Yup. It looks like a retread of the first movie, only that it's mediocre.
I hope that's just the editing to market it via nostalgia.
I saw them filming this back when I was living in San Francisco in 2020. I’m surprised that it actually was filmed this quickly, considering Covid and everythingNice . . . I had no idea this was in the works . . .
That’s the nature of art. Whatever the medium is, there are people with original ideas who come and go. Then everything after them is simply formulaic and based on the concepts that they came up with. Once that has been wrung dry, its on to the next medium. The vast majority of movies today are just remakes of a different work of art. And then to make it even worse, the film industry waters down a lot of the ideas that they feel won’t make the money or will cost them money.Someone could write a book about the devolving artistry in marketing for big, Hollywood movies. Awful trailers, awful posters.....
Not to mention a film from 1999 (even with retrograde green tint) looks so much more vivid than a film being released 20 years later.
I’m like why is the live one gone and the gone one live? Also the black dude is obviously some kind of Morpheus.
Didnt trinity and neo both die
The CGI in the first Matrix has gotten pretty dated
