Movies THE MATRIX: RESURRECTIONS (New Trailer)

Kinda cheap to make a trailer with "White Rabbit", like how could it not be epic?

Looks pretty good though.
 
Yeah boy! Idgaf, the movie might turn out to be shit but that’s a great trailer.

I especially loved the choice of White Rabbit for the music, which is very meta if you know your shit. The Matrix is essentially Alice in Wonderland, which is what Jefferson Airplanes song “White Rabbit” draws its inspiration from.

And of course the trailer looked good. But what I found most heartening was how measured it was. It wasn’t filled with a hundred different elements and shit. It’s focused.

The lack of focus was the biggest issue with Revolutions and Reloaded. Anyway, imma stop right now. Cause I don’t want to set myself up totally up to be let down

Yep I have to admit it does have me alot more interested than I was previously.

The sequels did I think become too focused on the shear largeness of everything and the world outside the Matrix, the whole Zion setting just never really worked and became very generic. This seems like its much more back to the original, mostly in the matrix and a few scenes in the hovercraft.

One obvious advantage as well of course is that Reeves now is a far better actor than he was 18 years ago, more able to hold a movie together himself rather than just being in "woah" mode.
 
Did they really just replace Fishburne with another black dude? That just seems cheap, leave the character out all together if that is the case.

Looks like trash, not sure how this has so many likes on youtube. People seem entertained by anything these days, maybe i'm getting old.
 
It's been a long time, seen the films but it's so outdated in my mind that I only remember playing the game on the og xbox
 
Still a coin flip as to whether this will be pretty awesome or a complete piece of shit. It is going to be hard to get past Cosplay Morphius. Looks like NPH might have a fairly small role, which is probably for the best. He could surprise me, but I don't think his acting style really fits the Matrix vibe very well.
 
Someone could write a book about the devolving artistry in marketing for big, Hollywood movies. Awful trailers, awful posters.....

Not to mention a film from 1999 (even with retrograde green tint) looks so much more vivid than a film being released 20 years later.
