The Immortal keepin it real on Gable

It's true, anyone can be a hw champ if given the title shot. Even if u only have a 2-1 record.

So a guy that couldn’t cut it in the NFL or WWE can win a UFC HW title with minimal experience? That makes the sport look bad tbh.
If he'd become a superstar in the WWE first do you think that would make a run at HW in the UFC look better for the sport?

Why did he have to put the emphasis on "literally today"?

I'm sorry, but that does make him sound a bit retarded. I like Matt though and believe in Gable, too.

Even Steveson himself acknowledged that he needs to mimic Chimaev and Makhachev, which is why they are working on exactly that. Unlike Matt,
he's obviously taking MMA more seriously and can see the patterns. What's important to change when coming from wrestling.

Gable is the best prospect in MMA right now by a long shot. He will be UFC HW champion. I agree with Matt on this one.

It isn’t just his wrestling credentials which are best in any weight class…it’s also the fight iQ he showed in his fight against those cans. He is flawlessly executing transitions that show a comfortability in there that far outweighs his cage experience. His hands are honestly really good and he’s fast and has KO power. He’s an athletic freak in his 20’s the HW division is about to get ruled by its new king.

They always say this about these wrestling prospects coming in and then they suffer a humiliating loss. Bo Nickal vs RDR, Gregory Gillespie vs Kevin Lee, DC's protege Deron Winn vs anyone he fought at 185. The fact is there's a difference between athlete and fighter, this guy might be better at wrestling than anyone in the UFC but even a guy like Waldo Acosta could make him quit with a jab and a sprawl

Who is supposed to test him outside the UFC? Gable would be favored to beat most HWs in the UFC right now.
Cunha and Bilalov would be solid tests, he should be able to maul Hugo but it's still a much better opponent than anyone he's faced so far.

He's got all of two fights so far, against cans and he's disposed of them as he should but let's not act as though they were anything but showcase fights. Having said that I'd rather have him in the UFC already cuz HW sucks, same with Bilalov and Rahmani, and Rico if he's really signing. Just sign anyone that looks decent even if you risking picking up dogshit like that polish guy who lost to Freeman.

Brock looked unbeatable until he got punched in the face. He actually looked beatable against Randy but he grabbed that fence. Single most significant fence grab in UFC history. Had he not grabbed and stopped that TD he could/likely would have been TKO'd from GnP and history is different.
What a bunch of bullshit lol,Randy isnt beating Brock at any point in their careers

Steveson fighting again next month. If he wins this one impressively, he should at least get a shot on DWCS.
He is fighting a 37 years old mexican LHW so yes.. he should walk through that poor guy and get into DWCS at least. Stop can crushing.

Can't remember if I ever saw a more hyped MMA fighter. I wasn't around for Brocks debut but I guess it was something like this.

I think Gable will be a force. But I don't see how people act that there is no chance he will be a bust. On paper Karelin should have been unbeatable in MMA, but he sucked as he had no killer instinct and no talent for striking at all.

Karelin was stiff as a board standing up. Gable at least seems comfortable against cans and fluid.

I'm not easily on board for hype trains but definitely he has all the potential.
He can definitely be clipped and finished by top guys, but I wouldn't be shocked if he took them down instantly and dominated them either.

I hope so , the world is a more interesting place if he’s a heavyweight destroyer, heavyweight has been a pile of shit for quite some time , let’s just hold judgment until he fights someone who’s not a total jabroni

Brock was seen as more of a freakshow when he debuted. If anything he was underrated, with the general consensus being that he was going to get beat once he faced a step up in competition. He proved his doubters wrong.

Everyone's a killer til they cross paths with Waldo Ocasio Cortez Acosta

What I liked the more about Gable is that he fought in that Dirty Boxing shit. He didn't fought a world beater but he proved he is not afraid to stand and bang.

Yup.
I've said it before somewhere that this alone differentiates him from Brock.
He doesn't mind to stand and bang. Provided that he fought a can but who is Gable? Also a can standing up you could say.
So really props to him.
Not to mention the vertical jumpining ability. He will squash fools heads ala Mario.
