What he has found almost exclusively up to now is funding for agencies investigating his own shoddy practices, and spending he personally doesn't politically agree with.

Dude, you are going to lose this one. The waste and incompetence is REAL. You want to argue fraud, you will lose that one too. Are you 12? That is how the government operates. Just because you don't like them, doesn't mean they are wrong. As for cuts, all Presidents cut jobs Trump isn't even close to Obama. Don't die on this hill.....maybe go after the tariffs or Trans shit, but being mad at finding waste and fraud is obvious nonsense hate.

I don’t think it can be argued that the process appears to be somewhat haphazard and disorganized. And it wouldn’t take a rocket surgeon to acknowledge and accept that there is both waste and fraud that should be eradicated in the government and its agencies.

I think it should be done in a more methodical manner, putting the onus initially on various agency and department heads to justify their workforce and spending.

Part of me can’t help but think that Musk at Trump’s direction is going way overboard initially with the intention of cutting substantial fraud and workforce numbers in the end.

It’s like trying to sell something for $1000 when you’ll be very happy to get 250 for it.

Yes we all know Doge self reporting has been so badly debunked by the media that they went from providing the back up to most of the first wave of claims, after the media dug in and debunked the Top 6 of 6 claims, to now not providing any links to source materials for the claims they make.

It is now a 'just trust us' model, like the Comer and Jim Jordan investigations and claims.
