Goals & Gains The Dark Knight(Templar)Returns.

BJJ.

Most classes, we only concentrate on one or two techniques. This class, Professor Rick had us practicing Far Side Armbar, Far Side Kimura, North-South Choke with Tie-Off and two versions of Reverse Triangle Choke.

It was a lot to take in. I was lucky enough to be partnered with a Black Belt, and even he had to ask Rick a couple of questions about the techniques.

Rolling: 3 X 2 minute rounds.

This lesson focussed on Knee On Belly. Baseball Choke from KOB. How to retain position if the opponent tries to push you off. How to roll the opponent over and take his back if he Turtles.

We did some positional rolling, starting from KOB and trying to retain or recover position while the partner tries to push you off and pull Guard.

Knee on Belly has always been one of my weaker positions, so I appreciated the extra training.

BJJ.

Focus on escape from Side Control. Three different techniques. Amusingly, one of my training partners asked me to go full out and try to pin him down in Side Control.

"OK, maybe just go 50%..."

Rolled twice. I don't know which one it was, but I must have eat a knee or elbow as I have a small cut on my forehead. I didn't even notice it until I got home and washed my face.

God, I love BJJ. :)
