Media The Champ has a Name - and the UFC knows that too 😍

I'd be more inclined to believe Islam just wants to fight anywhere, and it's the UFC that tries to save him for those events.
It could be a bit of that too. But I think it’s more the sheikhs not really the UFC if that’s the reason for his inactivity.
It’s quite shitty if the organization on purpose does not let the fighters fight where they desire to fight.

For those new to the boards in case you didn't know... the OP has a longgggg history of fighter bashing Muslim fighters and actually brings up their religion as his reasoning quite a bit.

He isn't a Charles fan lol.
You are dead wrong here.

Oh wait, can you please be a bit more specific on your analysis?

Man is Brazilian. He lived in America only from 2009 onwards and was still considered Brazilian. His kids didn't come over until 2012, and he didn't get citizenship until 2019.

Andy's reign was 2006-2013. He was absolutely traveling into enemy territory all the time. Come off it.

Americans love Andy. Honestly the only time I would say he went into enemy territory for a title fight was in Ohio. Vegas is neutral territory for him and his opponent.

Charles is likely a great guy and obviously a great fighter... but better than Islam in MMA... not so much.

Sure. There are a grand total of three posters on Sherdog that consistently fighter bash Muslim fighters and have explicitly pointed out their religious aversion to them.

You are one.
Dildos is another.
Balkanbomber is the third.

All three have made religious posts on the topic for years on end. Therefore I ignore those posters on topics related to Muslim fighters.

Specific enough?

Defend your beliefs rather than denying them please.

It’s Islam Makhachev. Oliveira is a quitter and doesn’t want that smoke. Got beaten on the feet and on the ground.

Americans are wishy washy. It's not like all of America hates foreign fighters, but it's also not like America just picked up Silva. I know for a fact he got booed to all hell against Griffin as well.

I'm a simple man. I see that Charles Do Bronx is fighting? I watch him fight.
Guaranteed entertainment. I think if you're trying to get someone into MMA, he is a great fighter to introduce a newbie to.
He belongs in the HOF already and his incredible career isn't even on a downturn yet. It's fighters like him that inspire the idea of the Just Bleed God.

The Olive Era continues! I'd love to see a rematch between him and Islam if Charles is able to beat Arman.

Lol this is a hostile crowd against Silva?

..yes?

1:00 Cheers go to boos and remain boos through his entire intro. Look at Silva's face responding to them. That's even where we get this famous picture from, people booing him.

Then less than 20 seconds into the fight, "Let's go Forrest" chants start up. Anderson had fights where they were both cheered, like Marquardt in his first defense. But here, they didn't just have a favorite, but were actively against Silva. What do you want them to do? Throw jars of piss into the cage?

Sure, once the fight was underway, people started groaning at the inaction and cheered action, but that's what fight fans do. Same as the crowd in Abu Dhabi reacted to Charles opening up with the jumping kick and clasping the triangle. If you're gonna compare the way people cheered Anderson's success during the fight, then maybe Charles should have had any actual success in his fight so they could be compared. It's not like the "dessert" crowd hates fighters for winning over their own (as long as it's without controversy). One of the early fight islands in quarantine had a co-main of Lazzez, a guy from an Arabic middle eastern country, vs Warlley Alves who the crowd similarly booed, but who was cheered and clapped throughout his finish, win announcement, and into his interview.

Point is, the crowd was wholly against Silva. Crowds have certainly gotten more boisterous and bigger since Silva's time, but let's not act like fighters today are more hard done by crowds enough that it more negatively affects their ability to win or lose.

13 minutes full of finishing sequences, from one of the most exciting fighters, if not the most exciting in the UFC history!

Anyone else starting to believe that team Eagle might be a little afraid of Charles at this point? Calling out and trying to fight anyone else or hiding behind happy scales and home territory advantages.

I doubt either of these guys is scared of the other. Islam already beat Charles once so a very much doubt he is sweating the rematch to the point you suggest TS...Also, didn't Charles' coach just announce they would rather fight McNuggets than for the title again?!?

Yo tho since 🫒 is champ UFC brassdem should open up 165 make Islam champ since he be scrappin at dat weight sumtym anyway ting be easy ain't even gotta tell da casual-dem walahi mandem won't even notice fam 🗣️📠🚫🖨️

Who gets to fight where they want to fight? who? If everyone got to fight where they wanted to then no fights would be made. Someone has to get screwed.
