I would've loved for him to step up and go in the octogon at least once. McGregor is far from being a guy that I look up to but he was 100% right about Ali.

I've literally started threads that Pereira would beat Ank's ass because he had no wrestling. Not all Dagestani's are the same fighter.

Wouldn’t exactly call Ank a bully to Alex lol…it’s Alex we’re talking about Izzy’s biggest bully ever.
I would say Ank was a bully AFTER the first fight I guess just because he (or Ali) was talking shit
But Alex isn’t exactly bullyable even if you defeat him

Alex (at least to me) seems like a chill guy that you just leave alone. Ank been relentless on him on Twitter for over a year now.

I just never truly understood why he was on him like that. Some people say it was because of hyping which might be possible and does make sense but I dunno man I just felt like he was overdoing it. It didn't seem natural to me.

Probably because he wasn't even the one typing. I do respect Ank as a fighter though and I'm sure if he take this loss and humble himself he will only comeback stronger.

Him and Umar been through the same in a way. Not a good year for the Dagestanis. Islam might be next. Alot of people are counting JDM out but don't be surprise if JDM end up beating Islam.

Honestly, it’s likely because it was the thing that could increase his likelihood of ever getting a title shot as he’s a foreign fighter, speaks broken English, and hasn’t exactly been the most entertaining fighter in the cage.
Talking shit gets attention, and also pisses off the receiver of the shit talk which hopefully motivates them to fight the shit talker because on paper Anks style should be the worst type of fighter for Alex to match up with.
So yeah Ank has a 99% chance of NOT getting a rematch especially after being kod in 25 seconds.

That's what bother me a little.

Ank is obviously skilled. I think he's the best fighter in that division after Pereira. He doesn't have to do that.

That's the thing I respect about McGregor. With Connor, it was authentic. It came naturally. It wasn't forced. Connor is just naturally funny. I wish fighters would embrace more who they are.
