dunno how I feel about that ending though, quite a divergence from the comics

Fortunately its been so long since I read the comics that I could enjoy this despite all the changes. So far it does seem they've managed to save Ennis from himself more often than not, but I am still gonna believe they attempt Herogasm only when I see it.

Overall though, I am surprised how good this show turned out. Starr in particular was really putting in work. Excited to see where they go with s2.

Just finished. Really liked the ending. Homelander might be the most terrifying villain I've ever seen. Antony Starr just gets all the little things right.

I'm on episode one and that dudes girlfriends death was gruesome and out of left field show seems very creative with all the lack of creativity coming from netflix this is refreshing.

4 Episodes in and love it, best superhero series by far.

I never read the comics but I thoroughly enjoyed the season. Homelander is one cold mofo.

I only know of this show from watching the Slipknot video for the song Soloway Firth but it looks crazy from what the video shows.

.

This was explained poorly IMO...

Why did translucent pop from the Ass Bomb? Shouldn't his impenetrable skin have contained the blast within his body?
Okay guys, I'm here. Welcome to my AMA! Yes, you're absolutely right, the skin should have contained the blast, but then we'd have missed out on that amazing bloody explosion of "blood and meat" (cause Translucent predicted his own death). One solid writer's room rule: "Keep Your Rules in Mind but Never Logic Yourself Out Of Entertainment."

There are many hardened and/or hard to damage materials that once you find a way to concentrate a blow will fail in spectacular and explosive fashion.

You just need to find that weak spot and the entire system collapses

The show was complete mediocrity. Seems any show gets critical acclaim regardless of how good or bad it is.

haven't read the thread; just started watching --- awesome!

There's a ton of garbage out there but this isn't mediocre. <3>

I laugh every time he pulls the clichéd “you guys! You guys are the real heroes!”

I was extremely happy with how this season went compared to how disappointed I’ve been with preacher.

RIP Netflix?
Season finale. Holy. Fucking. Shit.

- Becca's alive?! And so is the bairn she had with Homelander?! <TheWire1>

- Starlight got a huge power-up from the Comics, where all she could do was fly and emit a blinding light. I like this version much better.

- Starr is the series MVP, and it's not even close.

"Now...what was that plan again?"

Cold-blooded AF, bro <Eek2.0>

- I wonder if Madelyn's baby survived the explosion? Probably not.

- Poor Deep went Full Britney <mma1>
At first I thought Stillwell's baby was either her and Homelander's, or Becca and Homelanders. But now I realize he brought the baby down to die in the blast (knowing he was going to kill Stillwell himself). Homelander > Purple Man

Makes me sad for Powers.
@Loiosh oh, what could have been... have you watched Teh Boys, yet?
