Just got around to watch it. Immediately hooked, wife as well (who usually is not into super hero tv show).First episode was great. Can't wait to watch the rest.
This was explained poorly IMO...
Why did translucent pop from the Ass Bomb? Shouldn't his impenetrable skin have contained the blast within his body?
Okay guys, I'm here. Welcome to my AMA! Yes, you're absolutely right, the skin should have contained the blast, but then we'd have missed out on that amazing bloody explosion of "blood and meat" (cause Translucent predicted his own death). One solid writer's room rule: "Keep Your Rules in Mind but Never Logic Yourself Out Of Entertainment."
There are many hardened and hard to damage materials that once you find a way to concentrate a blow will fail in spectacular and explo fashion.

You just need to find that weak spot and the entire system collapses

The show was complete mediocrity. Seems any show gets critical acclaim regardless of how good or bad it is.
I laugh every time he pulls the clichéd “you guys! You guys are the real heroes!”Just finished. Really liked the ending. Homelander might be the most terrifying villain I've ever seen. Antony Starr just gets all the little things right.
Season finale. Holy. Fucking. Shit.
- Becca's alive?! And so is the bairn she had with Homelander?!
- Starlight got a huge power-up from the Comics, where all she could do was fly and emit a blinding light. I like this version much better.
- Starr is the series MVP, and it's not even close.
"Now...what was that plan again?"
Cold-blooded AF, bro
- I wonder if Madelyn's baby survived the explosion? Probably not.
- Poor Deep went Full Britney
