Television The Anime and Manga Thread: v45

@JBSchroeds

Latest Mercenary Enrollment, Ijin and 006 on the way to find 032 , Ijin encounters another singe digit agent , this one looks more brutal than 006 and 032 so may not become an ally like 006 , but who knows.

Also Northen Blade seems to be on break until the New Year , leaving us with the Cliff Hanger of the fated reunion.

Nice long weekend no work just some Gym Time and reading Manga/Manwha

Storm Inn looks good there are over 40+ Chapters of Raws with about 18 translated and should have Mass release coming out today.

Hoarding in Hell is a new one had 18 Chapters also looks Excellent.

New chapter of Nano Machine , the MC is no longer holding back on killing as it looks like he is about to take on the Main Clans since he is essentially a High Level Grand Master / Clan Leader level.

Oh Shit Nano Machine had an extra Chapter this week , the Main Character is a fucking Genius.

Rikudou [102] - Shouldn't have picked that fight there, ma dude.
Tongari Booshi no Atorie [52] - The brushbugs continue to be adorable.
Records of the Mystic Gardens [107] - This series continues to have one of the more interesting art styles around.
Eleceed [141] - Oh, my god. The cat that Kartien turns into...
Vinaland Saga [189] - That was an unexpected chapter. I'm...not sure how I feel about it.
Peerless Dad [201] - Huh, it seems like I missed something with the daughter and old woman, I wonder if a chapter got cut off somewhere.
Return of the Mount Hua Sect [45] - Great scene trying to catch Chung Myung. Expect that loophole to be exploited in no time.
Nano Machine [85-86] - The time for fucking around has ended, the time for finding out has begun.

I hadn't heard of these, I'll have to add them to the list to check out.

Both Art styles are pretty good Storm in has the trope kind overpowered MC now trying to live a normal live , kind of like Mercenary Enrollment, but it's set in the past era.

Hoarding in hell follows the whole returner or awakener trope who has the means to level up faster.

I'm a sucker for both tropes.

So guys, is it worth watching Demon Slayers seven episodes of last season? Or is it just the demon Slayer movie, split into seven episodes. Will I miss anything by not watching them?

Those 7 episodes are movie with extended scenes like backstory for fireguy (mainly episode 1 is new stuff rest same as film)

If you have seen film no need to watch them

This has got to be one of the longest gaps between initial publication and an anime adaption. The original run started in 1978, so a 44 year gap. It already had one adaption in the 80s, but to make another one now? Surprising.

I have an anime that I watched some time ago, but I can't recall the name. A woman goes around controlling people all over the world and causing mayhem. A cop and his female partner go After her. She ends up killing his female partner brutally.

I recall she can use her voice to control people and anyone who Listens to her voice, ends up being controlled by her. She kills the president of the US in the last episode and then goes to a village. The anime ends there.

Anyone have an idea which anime this is?
Babylon? Don’t remember how her “powers” worked but the rest of the plot sounds the same. Suicide law was a significant topic in it as well

I really liked the first half of it but once they went to the US it was a mess

really looking forward to this, trailer looks great and it was a decent binge read

You got it. That's the one, thanks.

Those are some of my favorite themes as well.

Not sure if anyone else here reads this probably do. Things are getting interesting in
THE BEGINNING AFTER THE END

A Silent Voice is one of the best movies Ive ever seen. The themes it tackles have been done countless of times, but its never been done this cohesively and as poignantly as this movie. I was actually on the verge of tears multiple times throughout the movie and was on the edge of my seat multple times. The symbolism in this movie......wow. Its a damn masterpiece and I have to the writing is so damn strong.

I can only imagine if this movie had the visuals of a 'Your Name'. Just wow. Ill rewatch it sometime in the future, and imo its a 10.

Its up there with Akira, mainly due to the strong writing. I dont think many movies come close to the level of A Silent Voice.
