Texas Heat

Best places to live in the US right now where it's not as hot as hell?

North or Southwest Texas? I've spent some time in the Ozona/San Angelo and find it just like you described. As many times as I've driven through there, I still haven't been through the Lubbock or Abilene areas.

Nah, San Angelo, and Ozona specifically is still the Hill Country. Hot and humid. I’m talking about the Big Bend region. The Davis, Chisos, Guadalupe, Apache, and Delaware mountain ranges. All surrounded by the Chihuahuan Desert.

We’ve finally been getting a little rain here in southern New Mexico. It’s nice but man I’ve noticed a difference in the humidity.

Hows the AC bills
The cost of electricity in Texas is tightly tied to the price of natural gas, which has more than doubled since Russia invaded Ukraine in late February.

This is why you should move to NYC

The heat sucks, but the humidity makes it absolutely horrendous. Born and raised in Louisiana, but currently in Utah and I will take 100+ here over 90-95 there.

Where at in Utah? Down in the valley I can escape in to the mountains where it is a bit cooler. Do not miss the South.
Ogden area.

Good move. Don't know what people expect moving here it's pretty funny listening to everyone complain. It's consistently 100 degrees or close to it for 4 months of the year here every year.

Drink some water, go to the pool. Keep your house at 80 instead of 68 your body will adapt and you'll save yourself an expensive energy bill. It's not that bad. Go outside for a few hours a day you'll adapt. People have been adapting to the weather forever grow a pair

3 temp reading 1 hr apart at the peak of the day, Florida starts out at 109 before Louisiana storms ahead to 116. Shows how extreme the heat is in Texas compared to even Florida, that an area of Texas the size of Florida is hotter than the hottest part of Florida.
Southeast Texas about 113 degrees
South Dakota surprisingly hot at 110 for 2 hours straight

28°Celsius or 82°Freedom in Manchester today. 38°C or 100°F with humidity, and this is with most homes not having aircon.

It's not as bad as two summers ago, but the only time I wear a tshirt is during the school run. This heat is about my limit as far as comfort goes.
