Texas heat isn't bad. It's dry heat. Florida and Thailand heat is evil. Swampass isn't a good life.
Lol, NO

Wesf Texas is dry heat.

Aa large portion of the state isn’t. And if you look at the map the central to eastern coastal region. Was the worst. In the United States. By heat index besides Louisiana.

I used to live and work drilling. Rigs inThailand. All over. Houston and east Texas are far worse.

No way. I have relatives from Houston. We went to Thailand for a wedding because someone's dad married some young hussie. They were fucking dying. They work in the oil industry too.

Do they work outside in the. Oil industry or in an office???

I’ve lived in both. Places for years imo Houston is way worse.

Might be the hottest day of the year so far Arkansas and Louisiana at around 120 degrees Feels Like at 1 CDT 110-112 on the map. The large blob of 120 degree heat index is from moisture pooling in the swamp. Very very hot could be close to 125 130 Feels Like in parts of the SouthScreenshot_20220721-140226.png

Winner so far this year Missouri with a 120 measured temp at 4 CDT 7/20

Independent scientific research study indicates, that the large influx of (unwanted) residents moving from California and New York has pissed off god. Thus causing the extreme record setting temps.
Lmao at saying unwanted, like you have any say in whether or not people can move where you live.

in England its 104 lol this is getting ridiculous.... but still the oil giants drill <45>greed> survival when psychopaths rule the world, only ourselves to blame:confused:

The funny part is, this is just the beginning - this isn't even scratching the surface of what we're going to see in coming years.

This is the effect of CO2 we put into the atmosphere a decade ago - and we've only put more in each year since.

I'll do my part and retire my luxury private jet.

The most unfair part of the issue is that the ultra rich, those who have contributed the most and have the power to do something about it, will suffer the least of the consequences.

If we had a population of intelligent, well educated people folks would see this and do something about it, instead a huge percentage of people are rubes, brainwashed by those same ultra rich into thinking that they're intelligent independent thinkers who aren't going along with the narrative. People literally gobbling up fossil fuel propaganda trying to tell those that understand science they're sheep.

It will take an enormous amount of fossil fuels to convert to a "green" energy society, oh the irony lol. We should focus on nuclear.

Read a report today in The Guardian, that those oil company mutherfuckers have been profiting $3bn a day for the last 50 years!!! WTF!!!

No matter what you do, you have to use fossil fuels to get there. That's what makes our current inaction so insane - in twenty years we'll be in a much worse position, but we will still have to use fossil fuels to move to green energy, which will just make things worse. We could start going balls to the wall on the transition now, or wait until things are much worse and hope that we can magically just jump to green energy in the future. And nuclear should play a part, but its not the saving grace conservatives think it is - its incredibly expensive and takes a long time to get a plant up and running.

The whole endeavor no matter what you do is going to be incredibly expensive, this transition to green will come at an incredible human cost as well, currently it's something only first world countries can even attempt in any substantial way. Also there's nothing like nuclear in terms of energy density. I'm not disagreeing that we should be pursuing green energy, I'm just saying it's not as easy a transition, not by a long shot, as some would have you believe.

Exactly what is the human cost? How does it compare to billions of people being displaced? Any cost is absolutely trivial when compared to the alternative.

I argue about it on this site a lot, but to be honest I don't even really care - I'm fully convinced we're not going to do anything meaningful about it, and that it's going to be the end of human civilization. I don't know how anyone who is truly educated and knowledgeable on the subject could think differently.

The adverse effect on economic growth and in turn standard of living, in first and especially if we're talking about third world countries. When I say standard of living I don't mean simple creature comforts. Anyway, someone smarter than me can explain it if you care to research that point of view. Again, I'm not against green energy, and I'm not comparing the cost of global transition to the assumed cost of "billions of people" being displaced or the "end of human civilization." Simply trying to paint the whole picture.
