Texas Heat

Lmao was just about to post Arizona is hotter before that last line. I spent some time in Texas during the Winter mostly, a little during summer, and some during the fall. The lack of things to do and general unattractiveness of the State bothered me more than the weather.

Dude it's been nuts these past few weeks. Dogs are getting stir crazy being inside all day because they overheat in 10 minutes when I take them out. Glad I'm moving out of this place in a few weeks.
Are you in central TX as well? This is getting to be too annoying.

Pretty brutal. We had to replace our radiator fan the other day because it crapped out at the worst time.

When we water our lawn it seems like it takes only minutes for it to evaporate. And we water before the sun comes up….

I live in far west Texas, the desert, and while we are constantly the hottest part of the state, I find the 0% humidity good for the 9 month summers.

Its really not uncommon to be above 100 degrees for weeks of a time, but weirdly the minute the sun goes down the air cools and makes the evenings comfortable. It’s so dry that we hardly have insects and no mosquitoes at all. Nights in the desert are actually pretty pleasant.

As far as the daytime goes, you better seek shelter. The unadulterated scorching sunlight will kill your ass before you know it. Literally, half a day without water or shelter, and you die.

Usually the same here with the humidity but lately it’s been humid so it was 95 degrees at 10 PM last night

107 yesterday
105 today
106 Monday
106 Tuesday
105 Wednesday
Etc etc etc

been absolutely brutal these last few weeks hasn’t rained in months.

My air is starting to crap out.

Going to spend the rest of the summer in NJ. Forget this.

What’s it like for y’all down here in the south?

In before someone says Arizona is hotter.
In all seriousness though I love Austin I opened a treatment center there a couple months ago. I will be down there for a week the beginning of August.

My wife and I go to the hill country a few times a year and it has always been humid, relatively speaking to any area west of the Pecos. Plus out here you can go to the mountains for a slight reprieve from the high temperatures.

Lol! I can’t imagine what it’s like out your way. Is it still crazy humid or has that died down?

Miserable humid.

I spent yesterday outside and even felt like my eyes were burnt by end of day.

Africa Hot.

Still another month or so to go with this.

We need some rain!

lol, that's why i don't mind paying high rent here in the bay area. absolutely amazing weather practically all year round. fuck living in extremely hot or cold areas. i want to enjoy my days.

I can't take this shit anymore. I'm going to start taking mini trips to a few places I'm thinking of relocating to. Cost of living isn't even that great here anymore to keep putting up with living in a damn swamp. Seriously fuck this.

Do people develop mental problems from such a place ? People who aren't from Seattle get depression it's a scientific fact. I wonder if the opposite is true people become manic in the heat
