A Texas dad’s desperate battle to keep his 7-year-old child from undergoing a gender transition championed by the biological male’s mother has captured the attention of conservatives nationwide – including the Lone Star State’s governor, who announced a review of the case by top officials, even as all involved await a pivotal court ruling Thursday that could alter the youngster’s life forever.
Jeff Younger petitioned the court earlier this month for sole custody of his twins, James and Jude, in an effort to prevent their mother, Dr. Anne Georgulas, from allowing James to begin hormone replacement therapy.
According to Georgulas, who works as a pediatrician, James is transgender, identifies as a girl, likes to wear dresses and goes by the name “Luna.” Younger believes the opposite, however, and is arguing James is a happy boy and a “social transition” or “medical transition” would not be in his best interest, The Texan reported.
James’ mom, who is divorced from Jeff Younger, initially filed a petition for joint conservatorship which required Younger to affirm the child's identity by using the name “Luna,” something recommended by James' therapists. In response, Younger filed for sole custody. But on Monday, a jury returned a verdict in favor of Georgulas.
Although a judge will have the final say over the custody battle Thursday afternoon, Gov. Greg Abbott, a Republican, waded into the controversy Wednesday night as the case began making ripples nationwide, saying the state will be reviewing the case.
“FYI the matter of 7 year old James Younger is being looked into by the Texas Attorney General’s Office and the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services,” Abbott tweeted.
A judge’s decision in favor of Georgulas could allow her to move forward with plans to potentially give James puberty blockers after she received a letter of recommendation from Dallas Rainbow Therapy, urging James to “receive a full psychological assessment for gender dysphoria and potentially take hormone blockers,” the Washington Examiner reported.

I hope they implement a nation-wide INJUNCTION for that woman and the boy specifically(so they can't go to another state and try to perform the conversion with another Doctor) until they can remove the boy from the psychotic mother's custody.

This is sad, i feel bad for the child. When he should be out exploring, playing games, hanging with friends, etc. His parents put him in a bad position at his young age.
The mother should at LEAST wait until the child hits puberty and have meaningful conversations with her son on if he would like to do anything drastic with his body.
Now this child is most likely going to have psychology issues when he gets older.

A 7 year old boy shouldnt have a say simply because... hes a fucking 7 year old boy. He clearly doesnt understand himself let alone know enough to make a decision 7 years into his life . This is sick to think of.

Hes a CHILD. He gets miserable when he doesn't get to play. Its part of growing up. Id be embarassed from haircuts at 7 and be misersble going to school. My parents didnt give me blockers to have my hair stop growing. I grew up and got over kt. Jesus fuck.

DALLAS, Texas, October 24, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) – The judge presiding over the case of Jeffrey Younger, the father who is trying to protect his seven-year-old son, James, from chemical castration via a gender “transition,” ruled today that the parents will have joint conservatorship over James, which includes making joint medical decisions for the child.
Judge Kim Cooks of the 255th district also put a gag order on both parents so that they cannot speak to the press about the case and decided that the father is not required to pay attorney fees. The judge’s decision means that the Save James website will have to be shut down.
Mr. Younger and his ex-wife, Dr. Anne Georgulas, were in court last week fighting over custody and decision-making abilities for James and his twin, Jude. Dr. Georgulas wants to continue to “transition” James “into” a girl called “Luna.” Mr. Younger wanted to take a “wait and see” approach rather than start the child on puberty blockers.
Eleven out of 12 jurors decided Monday that Mr. Younger should not be granted Sole Managing Conservatorship over his twin boys. Dr. Georgulas admitted in court she is not actually the twins’ biological mother and used in-vitro fertilization via an egg donor to gestate them.
On Monday, a jury ruled 11-1 that the current Joint Managing Conservatorship should be replaced by a Sole Managing Conservatorship – and that Mr. Younger should not be that person.
Judge Cooks’ ruling was originally scheduled for Wednesday afternoon but was delayed. When a seasoned civil court journalist from the Dallas Morning News asked the court clerk for the ruling schedule and provided her with the specific case number, she confirmed the day but refused to share the time of the ruling.
Since kindergarten, Dr. Georgulas has enrolled James in school as a girl under the name “Luna.” She began telling him he’s a girl when he was just three, and testified in court that she began to believe that when he liked a McDonald’s toy meant for girls. James’ pediatrician records also indicate Dr. Georgulas has met with GENECIS, a medical “transition” clinic in Dallas and is considering “hormone suppression” when James is closer to eight or nine years old.
Prior to this case, Dr. Georgulas had exclusive rights to make decisions regarding psychological and psychiatric care for James and Jude. She needed to inform Mr. Younger of her decisions, but he couldn’t weigh in on or change the decisions. GENECIS wouldn’t begin James on puberty blockers without Mr. Younger’s consent.
Dr. Georgulas and Mr. Younger’s messy custody dispute entailed, in part, the latter filing a counter-petition to the court requesting sole managing conservatorship in order to obtain the ability to make decisions on psychological and psychiatric care. This would have given him the ability to prevent James’ from starting puberty blockers or cross-sex hormones.
Mr. Odeneal told supporters that an appeal “takes about a year” and it would be very difficult to overturn a jury ruling.

So what this means is that unless BOTH Parents give the "ok", there will be no conversion therapy.
Now the only thing I am concerned about is that this loon-of-a-mother may wait until the attention dies down, then kidnap her son and take him out of state to have the Conversion therapy.
Hope the Father considers this possibility as the mother CANNOT BE TRUSTED at this point to adhere to the Judges ruling.
