Media Team Fluffy: We are copying DDP's gameplan in a Chimaev fight

Khamzat trains with the trainer of the Saitiev bros…literally best level in the world. Khamzat‘s wrestling is the best in the UFC currently by far.

However, wrestling alone doesn‘t win fights and Khamzat‘s threat in R1 is a bit exagerated here. Obviously, Fluffy‘s wrestling is leagues below Khamzat but I think it‘s good enough to tire Khamzat over a 5R. Plus Fluffy has very decent boxing fundamentals, is a very smart fighter and has weapon cardio.

Ya ll are sleeping on Fluffy IMO and i am a known Khamzat nuthugger.

What you are doing is forbidden by our rules, I will talk to the Khamzat committee and see how we will deal with sinners, like you.

He fought with hurt ribs in February. I dont think hed pull out if he didn't have to

Fluffs pulled out of like a dozen fights, bros a pullout merchant.

It’s the reason he’s only been given gatekeepers like Brendan Allen and Dolidze, not a reliable guy.

The thing is Fluffy does dictate where the fight goes in all of his fights. He goes forward, puts on pressure, takes guys down etc etc and just keeps grinding them.

Chimaev is also the same type of fighter, he controlls where the fight goes hence it will be clash of similarish fighting style hence both are aggressive as fuk and try to impose their game from the get go.

I think Fluffy´s team should know better that they won´t be able to enforce their game and dictate where the fight goes as Khamzat is the far superior wrestler here which means Chimaev will dictate where the fight goes and we haven´t seen Fluffy in that situation as he is use to being the bully and hammer in all of his fights
Fluffy # 1 weapon is cardio. What he does with it is up to him

Look at how athletic and big DDP is.... Fluffy seems like he lacks any athleticism to negate Chimaev's wrestling.

That guy has beaten noone and is injured. Chimaev was fasttracked and has 0 title defense. But somehow he is seen as an invicible fighter. MW has interesting fighters but somehow the UFC managed to spoil it

He is invincible until proven otherwise

Fluffy needs another win after pulling out of the layup with RDR. Not sure why he's talking Khamzat yet

Exactly -- If Fluffy wants to beat Chimeav, he's going to have to win by standing up after getting taken down until Borz gets tired. This is a lot to ask.

Khamzat should have been fighting Nate and Nick at the same time

"I think we present Chimaev the biggest challenge at this moment. Here's the thing, they're stuck in a cage, right? Your principle should be all surrounding that.
So conditioning has to be number one, your grappling orientation and understanding of grappling has to be the first technical thing. If you go into a cage to fight
and your cardio isn't on par or your grappling isn't on par, it's not looking good for you.

And especially if you're going in there to fight a guy like Chimaev, where you know that it's going to be that type of fight. But you also know that if you put someone,
like Chimaev, in a position where he has to scramble a lot... His conditioning is good when he's on top. When he's never forced to scramble and work himself up,
down, up, down, up, down. Those principles and understanding of what you're doing is a must or you're going in to the fight handicapped in the positions you
need to be best in."

So how do you look at that fight stylistically for Anthony?

"The one thing I can tell you is we're not gonna be on the back-foot. It's not gonna happen. Chimaev doesn't get to dictate what's happening. We understand that
he's probably gonna shoot but then we will too. So we're gonna meet in the middle like DDP. And see who can outfinagle and outscramble who in that position.
And who has the better conditioning and awareness in those spots.

Of course it's easy when you're on top all the time and people concede the takedown. I don't wanna say that DDP conceded the takedown, but in theory he kinda
did because he didn't know how to get up, right? He didn't really know how to get up and just tried to muscle his way out of things. Well, that's not gonna work.
So our gameplan will be all for Anthony Hernandez, like, we don't change who we are. We're gonna go out and do what's best, and shove it down your throat.
You're gonna be forced to stop us. We know Chimaev is gonna do the same thing... we'll see what happens."

Fluffy went to decision against Allen twice.

Fluffy not wrong, DDP had the right plan he just forgot about making Khamzat work for TDs and keeping him down anyone can lay and pray for 25min. Khamzat still suspect cardio.
My karate master always used to say hard work beats talent unless talent also works hard. DDP forgot he need to work hard to beat the talent tho.
