Let's say you get stuck in a position and you aren't getting out, do you wanna look like a badass or live to fight another day? Weidman should have tapped against Luke, that fight ruined his career. There are definitely times in MMA where tapping from strikes is nothing to be ashamed of. On the other hand, there have been so many instances where a fighter just wanted out. GSP was done, it's when a fighter clearly wants out of the fight that it's upsetting, but who the fuck am I?

no it's not. He was defenseless the same as Shogun against Jones. He was too hurt to defend himself, he couldn't even put up his guard.

He got blasted by about 10 unanswered blows.. A lot of refs stop the fight as soon as GSP goes down.. And you should know that..

He couldn't even hold his hands in front of his face. The ref should have stopped it way earlier.

And later in his career GSP got head kicked by Carlos Condit was on bottom taking damage.. He got up came back to win the fight.. So he showed tons of heart that night. But this debate is BS and immature. With what we know now about CTE this is embarrassing. Guys are killing themselves and going nuts in their 40's.. Nobody goes crazy and offs themselves over a broken arm.. You tap out live to fight another day.. Preserve your health..

if you know you are gonna take bad damage and dont have the energy or a way out then why sit there and take more damage to your head which will shorten your career lol being choked out doesnt do any true damage to you so sure id fight that to the very end
