Thanks. Ummm...No, I dont think its the same type of pivot. With my right cross (which sucks, so take it for what its worth), the pivot kind of aims forward. With the rear hand upper cut, I pivot but come my heel raises UP in the direction of the punch.
Is that what you're asking?
I just was curious if you pivoted at all. You seemed to rise up a little tall sometimes when you threw it which can be troublesome, but I think it was more of a case of you trying to uppercut the jolly green giant in the face rather than any real technical issue.
One of my coaches used to give me shit when I pivoted on my uppercut, but it was something that just felt right. I think he thought you could get enough torque with some based leg drive and really whipping your shoulders and torso into it and it would keep you low. I use that occasionally if I really do need to keep low, and I find you can still get some great pop into it, but it doesn't quite stack up... which of course makes sense, if you throw a 2 with no pivot it can hurt but it's not the same.
Anyways, just rambling, really. I guess the point of this was that if you wanna stay lower on your uppercut occasionally, back off the pivot. I dunno lol.
I swear to you: I clicked, I saw lifting, and I doubled checked to make sure I was in the right log.
Good to see some Iron in your diet again, Missus. Excuse me for a moment while I go make sure that hell hasn't frozen over or anything.
Did you punch the guy behind the desk on your way out, at least?
nice lifting. be consistent.
In the last fight for example, I think my right cross looks horrible...very loopy and almost inbetween a cross and an over hand.

22 Mile Hike to Summit of Mt. San Jacinto (10,600 feet of vertical climb)
You did this in one day? Impressive!
...I do think some of the technique flaws in the last two fights were due to my opponent's height.
