Taking Beatings & Forgetting Names

kick ass bro, use what youve learned from your last fight (in case you fight some giant again)

Oh yeah and the stuff youve been practicing. The body snatchers

Flow... relax... if you feel anxious, with butterflies in our stomach and sweaty palms, just remember that those are all the exact "symptoms" of feelings of excitement, too. It's all in your head, and the spin you put on it - are those feelings there because you are nervous to lose, or because you're excited to win?

Stoney, amateur bouts weigh-in about 2-3 hours before the event, so probably Friday night.

Thanks guys. Yeah Stoney, fight is tomorrow (friday) night.

Appreciate the input, as always, Brandon.

Steak - You got it, buddy. Cheers.

Wednesday, September 30th

Jump Rope: 10m (sprint 30s)
Shadow Boxing: 12 x 3m Rounds
Rope Drills: 3 x 3m Rounds
Sparring: 7 x 2m Rounds
Stretching/Light Calisthenics: 10m

Notes: Last sparring day. Went with a dude who was less experienced, but very wild. He's a good athlete, and hits hard and fast, and would go nuts anytime he got popped. Pretty ugly sparring session, and at first I was a bit pissed about it. I thought about it though, and it was probably exactly what I needed. He was so intense and wild that I had to focus 100%, and I got cracked a few times when he was flailing around, but no damage done. It was probably good to be forced to have that level of focus one last day before the fight. Light stuff today, and just coasting on in...

Don't let me down. If all else fails, fight like Rocky would and let the guy punch you in the face until he gets tired.

Nice man. I'm rooting for you. Looking forward to seeing the video.

Kick some ass!

I always liked this approach as well. Block every punch with your face for the first couple rounds till they get tired then "GO TO THA BODY ROCK!"

p.s. Schatz, you ain't no bum.

Victory. Got matched up with another tall guy, but was able to be more effective this time. Gave him a standing 8 count in the 3rd, and won by a pretty wide margin. Thanks for the pep talks guys.

WARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR martin!!!!!!!!! Fuck yes!

Thanks guys.

Steak - yeah, I was 160 and he was 165.
