Do you deny that he allowed and sanctioned the death of millions of non-combatant civilians for the sake of killing off an entire race/religion? The yellow David stars were not just for looks.
Those people that were rounded up and put in camps were considered traitors, the same as internment camps for Japanese in America. However, unlike America, Germany was losing the war which put mass strain on limited resources. Food, medical help, etc, was much less available for their prisoners which contributed to many deaths.
Germans were backed into a corner, and yes atrocities were committed. The fact remains, Heinrich Himmler was the architect of the final solution, not Hitler. Hitler was in poor health and susceptible to being taken advantage of.
Socially, he had some good ideas, some bad. I like to think of his domestic reign as "fascism with a smiley face." Banned alcohol and tobacco outright, and was a vegan IIRC (which is flawed in itself).
Hitler also virtually elimited unemployment during the great depression. Got people back to work. Built the worlds first interstate highway, massive upgrades in infrastructure, built a common mans vehicle, cheap for his people, and yes he banned alcohol and tobacco. Those actions tell me he was a great leader, and that he cared about his people.
Also, I'm not vegan, but why is that flawed?
As for war strategy, he made some blunders against his generals' better judgement. His Russian strategy was built on ego and pride, rather than logistics.
True, he undoubtedly made war mistakes.
