Hitler himself is a bit of a mystery to me, but there was a lot more going on there then what is written in main stream history. The true victors are not talked about.

I do think that war was planned well in advance, to further the objectives of those holding the purse strings.

IIRC, Hitler actually super inflated the deutsche mark to the point that it was useless. Because of the treaty of Versailles, Germany could not produce their own ammo and weaponry so they used Spain as a proxy.

Its bad enough to produce mostly inefficient or ineffective equipment, but to do so with a strained resource base, terrible labor pool, and horrendous logistics system is madness. People act like the Nazi's ever had a chance of winning WW2. They couldnt out produce any single big 3 country, let alone all 3.

Under Speer, German War Manufacturing increased until almost the end of WWII, in spite of massive RAF and USAF bombing raids. Russia would have been completely helpless without America's Lend Lease and the UK's North Atlantic Convoys.

If America had not entered the War, there was a very good chance the Nazis would have won the fighting in Europe.
