It's not that they're trying to "shove their bullshit leftists agenda" down anyone's throat. It's that they just don't want to lose money. The uncomfortable reality you're going to have to face is most people don't want to have anything to do with racism, homophobia or sexism. They don't get enjoyment out of it and find it ugly. And people tend to steer clear of ugliness be it in everyday life or mainstream media.

You want to keep your audience? Well part of that is not having your employees attack 70 percent of your viewing audience on a regular basis.

The vast, vast majority of people in the US are not racist or fascist or anything like that. Attacking a Muslim is or making a gay joke, is not 70% of the viewing audience. 70% of the UFC audience is center right American.

There's a difference between being homophobic and making a gay joke, or being racist and making a cultural joke or shit talking someone from another part of the country.
