Have you gotten your fbbc kit? i was think about gettin it seems damn good for the price. And got the inzer belt, my hips hate me for it. hope it breaks me in soon

Nah, still waiting on it, John said it was the first time he'd sent anything out since some osrt of change in rates at the US postal office, so no real idea how long it'll take. Should be here by the end of the week with any luck though.

I'll probably post pics and a test report when I get it.

I am Jack's complete lack of effort

Decided to take it easy yesterday, with the PLing over the weekend. Did some BW and gymnastics sort of things.

Parallettes: L-sits, tucks sits, tuck planches, going from a tuck-sit to a handstand, managhed to go from an l-sit to a pike (feet up at eye level, legs still straight) for a second or two a couple of times, did some tuck-planche pressups, L-sit dips and then some parallette pressups (parallel grip deep as my current level of flexibility allows).

Handstand pressups against wall, free standing headstands with pressouts into a handstand.

Since i want to compete in a PL contest in Feb...how does this sound considering bench...

ME day-with pauses
DE day-touch and go

or should both ME and DE be pauses?

It is not explained why, but from
http://deepsquatter.com/strength/archives/newdeep/louie2.htm

Should I pause the reps on my bench speed day?
No. These should be lowered quickly but under "control" and then lifted as fast as possible. No bouncing or otherwise cheating!

The above page has a lot of nice info, not all of it is Westside specific.

thanks a lot Takeahnase. I already has this page stickied but i have about a hundred of them and completely forgot....again thanks.

Damn im like excited for you to get your fbbc kit so i can get the go ahead and get it. What one did you get also? the one for $40 looks good

I bought the advanced bag for $64, if I want easy practice steel it's easy for me to go buy some 5" nails from round here, It's the difficult stuff that's hard to source or compare to other people if I do get it.

I just realised that that page says I get horseshoes - fuck yeah, that sounds like fun. I've actually got a racetrack near here so I may have to ring them up and see about getting second hand horseshoes to bend for practice (if they're too worn for the horse they'll probably be easier for me to learn the technique and much, much cheaper than buying new).

I also just realised they've got a woman up as a cert on their front page, bending a grade 5 bolt. That's pretty damn impressive.

yeah those horseshoes look fun, scary but fun. they give you so much for the price too compared to ironmind. gonna give the rednail a shot?

Smashius, what does your levering look like? I've never really messed around with bending but I have been doing levering stuff for a while and recently did 10 reps with a 10 lb. hammer to the face.

Apologies if you already mentioned it in your log somewhere, but I just wanted to get some kind of comparison between levering and bending (if there even is a pretty good correlation between the two).

I want a vid of you guys levering. It confuses me when you write stuff like "to the nose" or "to the face".

My levering looks a lot like the vid Urban posted a while back. I do also do hanging levers for more high rep work and also some Weaver lifts.

I was thinking of making a thread with pictures explaining all the forms of levering.

levering a 10lber means you're easily ready to start steel bending, start out easy and work on getting the feel for it and the rhythm.

Front lever practice and some pullups.

KB swings - built up to sets of ten with my homemade KB loaded to 32kgs total weight. then took the weight back down and did cleans and snatches with it.

Stretched and then did some levering.

Curious.. but why won't you be lifting heavy for a long time?
Time to work on the GUNZ?
