Strength training for the puny

Looks like i'm going for private helathcare as the NHS is going to take months, this way I can probably be in surgery in the next month or so (would be quicker but it'll be after i move).

I bought a frying pan yesterday, video will be forthcoming, also did some gripper work.



Need surgery on the wrist?

I'd have thought Arizona to Cambridge was a little too far but if you really fancy the drive...

Just went to see a wrist surgeon, he confirmed that what I have is a ganglion. He then stuck a needle in it and drained the fluid, immediately I regained full wrist mobility, unfortunately the ganglion seems to be refilling, which means I'll almost certainly need surgery to remove it. Pretty much as expected.
 
Did the needle really hurt or was it a small needle?

Just realised I post PRs more regualrly in the PR thread than I post training in here.

Anyway, Ian came by and took away my powerrack *sobs uncontrollably* so i'm kinda screwed when it comes to training. I will hopefully start looking for a gym soon after I move and keep this thing updated.
 
I thought you weren't really training anyway, just doing some grip stuff here and there....

actually, your videos have acutally inspired me to start doing grip work. There's a pickle jar in my refridgerator i cant get open...im training to open that...(seriously)

hot water>tight jars..yeh I know it's kind of cheating...but if your really want those pickles...

Hey Smashius, what sort of grip training do you think is more specific towards apple crushing? (I have a thing for apple crushing...) Right now I'm just doing grippers and plate pinches, anything else I need to add?

I'd add in some thick bar work, one handed thick bar deads are a great way to train (see ironmind's rolling thunder handle).
 
Finally got myself moved in and set up with t'internet, house is okay, spending a lot of my time watching England embarass themselves at cricket, thinking that maybe I should try cutting off all my fingers and try out for the team.

Except for carrying a shit-load of boxes I've done no training in the last week, i'll start looking for a gym this weekend (both MA and lifting).
