Stipe never beat a good HW in their prime

The UFC fan boys and shills are really butthurt about this thread because it's true.

All they have is deflections and excuses.

Stipe also destroyed Maldonaldo, Fedor nearly lost his life.

I give a pass for loses passt 40 years old, but I don't think Stipe would ever get manhandled like that vs Maldonado. He literary finished him with 1 atack.

Fedor is a small HW

You're a clown lol

Stipe got knocked out by Struve when Stipe was 30 years old and had 10 fights.

Wow Fedor Fanboys counting fights and time active. What a weird argument. Fedor was 34 and got ktfo by a MW. At least Struve is a real HW.
Struve is a big boy and had a good night.

I'm a clown ? Your mom is a clown.

Dan Henderson is an all time great and was infinitely better than Struve and Fedor lost to Henderson 11 years and 40 fights into his career.

Fedor wasn't losing to a can like Struve 3 years into his career. That was Stipe. Nice mama joke, clown. My feelings are really hurt.

Nope, not one. Zip. Zero. Nada.

Roy Nelson - 37yrs old
Gabriel Gonzaga - 34yrs old
Mark Hunt - 41yrs old
Andrei Arlovski - 37yrs old
Fabricio Werdum - 39yrs old
Alistair Overeem - 36yrs old, non-Uber
Junior Dos Santos - post-Cain & Overeem
Francis Ngannou - Green
Daniel Cormier - 40yrs old
Daniel Cormier - 41yrs old

In fact the only prime HWs he faced...Francis, JDS, Struve...all beat him.

Stipe can never be the GOAT HW because he doesn't have a single legitimately great win. Not one.

Because of this Stipe firmly ranks behind Fedor, Big Nog, Cain, JDS, Couture, Werdum, and probably a few others.

Stipe did ok in ufc

And yet most of these so-called "out-of-prime" fighters were on some hot-shit runs. Roy Nelson was coming off 3 successive first-round knockouts and was closest to a title shot as he'd ever really get. Werdum was on the longest win streak of his career at 6, Arlovski at the same number which tied HIS longest streaks. The Reem's 4-win streak was long enough to get much of the fandom screaming for him to get a title shot. And talkin' of streaks, you want to talk Ngannou?! Hunt had been spottier, but he had came close to beating Werdum for the interim belt before Fab pulled the ol' misdirection trick to get him to move into his thrown knee. There's only TWO fights between JDS beating Stipe by decision and falling stunned to his knees under Stipe's fists in 2 and half minutes, and neither of those fights had been the Cain beatings to blame the difference on. Etc.

This is such an old and tired attack. I just wish people would consider IT out of prime...
Their PRIDE darlings completely disgraced themselves when they left Japan, “out of prime” theory had to be made. Everyone past 33 is a senior citizen.

Fedor got rocked, rubber-legged and put on Queer Street by "heavy hitters" LHW Maldonado and Japanese pro-rassler Fujita. Can you imagine Ngannou or Cormier connecting with Fedor's face? 5-10 minutes unconscious and call in the stretcher.

Jarl

Werdum was 38yrs and 11 months. He had only fought once in the past year and a half against a broken down Cain. Before that he beat an old Mark Hunt.

You can't say 40yr olds are in their primes.

It's funny when it's convenient for UFC fanboys 40 year Olds are still in their prime...

He did he a shell of JDS but he destroyed him tbf.

Stipe didn't beat these guys and look bad doing it, he look pretty good in all his wins.

Dc loss was due to eye poke.
Ngannou 2 the dudes dangerous and stipe was older.
Struve was pretty embarrassing.

Utter BS.

Werdum was 37 that wasn't prime Ubereem too

A factor for me as well would be that neither of them really had an amazing prime, Reem had a very good K-1 run but in MMA his career was always patchy and honestly Werdum whilst a bit more consistent never really had a run of dominance either.

I think thats a big factor in terms of how important the wins are personally, someone can be considered a great fighter because they had a very long career but if they lost a load of times thoughout that career then does beating them count for as much? likewise someone could have a less well regarded career BUT they did have a period of dominance so beating them in that period counts for a lot.

Cain would have absolutely destroyed Stipe in career altering fashion.
