The next big thing : Ultimate Eyepoke Challenge.
The guy had kidney failure cutting weight when he was young. Easily be a MW? You have no idea what you’re talking about.Quit the BS. Daniel has competed at 184. He is just fat. Even at LHW he is overweight. In fact, even in the night of weigh ins he still carries a considerable amount of fat compared to other fighters:

Does this look like a guy who couldn't lose any more weight? Give me a fucking break. The dude isn't even lean at 205. You really need to get your eyes checked if you think that dude is a natural HW. Plus, he is considerably shorter than almost everyone he faces. Short and fat. Put the guy on a proper diet and he could easily be a MW. Not only he could be a MW, bue he wouldn't even be a big MW. There are guys at MW who could fight at LHW and still look lean.
Not liking how Stipe isn't accepting this loss whatsoever, blames the eye poke, and says he did everything right, "and just missed it."
All that being said, I like Stipe and think it's possible for him to win this fight, but he has to learn from the last fight, DC's clinch work is all time great.
Also the eye poke was pretty fucked up lol

I'm talking about WEIGHT. His height is just another factor, not THE factor. With his height, the only way someone can weight 240-250 pounds is by being either overweight or a mountain of muscles. In this case, he is muscular, but he is also very overweight. As a HW he is straight up fat. Being fat isn't the ideal physical form for anyone. Look at Stipe. At 240 or whatever he weighs in, he is lean. Looks like a proper athlete. You know why? Because that's a natural big guy. That's a natural HW. That's a human being who was born with
Not looking well has nothing to do with whether or not he is a true HW. It has to do with the methods he is using to lose weight. He clearly has quite a bit of fat stored, and that fat can be lost through the proper means. To say he is a real HW is just as silly as to tell an obese person that whatever weight they have, is their natural weight, since losing weight is hard for them. Look at how bad they looked when they tried to lose X amount of water in 1 day or 2. They must be real HW's. Orrrrr, orrrrrrrrrr, they're just unhealthy and they don't take care of themselves. Just like DC doesn't care enough to do a proper diet and change his lifestyle in order to be lighter.
Like i said: He can make 184. He has done that, and he actually looked great. The difference? He had a lot less fat. But he never really looked super skinny.
The only reason why people refuse to admit that he is naturally small enough to be a normal looking MW if he really wanted to is because that would give him wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy too much fucking credit. A guy that used to fight at 184 destroying real HW's like it was nothing? That's amazing. That's more impressive than anything anyone else is doing in the UFC. That's more impressive than beating guys your size and smaller. That's the true Karate dream. The smaller kid who beats the fuck out of big men. That's the pinnacle of martial arts.
You’re an idiot. He gave himself kidney failure to make 185 and that was in college. I can assure you if he thought he could easily be the mw champ by going on a proper diet he would have. You think he was afraid of bisping?I'm talking about WEIGHT. His height is just another factor, not THE factor. By your logic, anyone is a true HW as long as they get fat, right? A WW can easily make HW if he becomes obese.

Man that eye poke was blatant af. Idc idc this why people get away with that shit . People always chalk it up . To execuses . I remember natal threw a blatant low kick to Uriah hall . Hall then proceeds to be inactive after that .

Lmao you understand why people cut weight? It’s not to put yourself at a disadvantage. I find it hilarious you, some keyboard back seat driver are accusing an Olympic athlete and two division ufc and Strikeforce champ of “laziness”. Gtfo of here with that shit. If he thought he could be a three division champion without killing him self he would.I will just repeat:
"He had problems cutting WATER to make 211 pounds in 2008. WATER, not FAT. You do understand the difference, right? Losing a ton of water in a short amount of time is obviously bad for you. Losing weight the wrong way is, well, guess what? BAD FOR YOU."
I’m pretty sure this is the new guy plugging his version of the dolce diet. Cormier will be hitting you up any day bro, you got a fresh angle on this sports science.I will just repeat:

it isn't hard to fault people for using them at all. there are plenty of fighters who don't eye poke anyone. pretending like it's completely natural to cheat is what's enabling these cheating assholes to get away with it.It's underhanded, but until they're punished harshly, it's hard to really fault people for using them. If you could make a million bucks from an eye poke, you would too![]()

Have you ever fought?Well lunging / entering in like that head first in a square stance without parrying that lead hand he did muck up.
Got to be more defensive and then strike when there is an opportunity.
This is where MMA fails because when you are head hunting with fists alone you are not thinking of anything else and you will get caught as the other guy is doing the same.
As an alternative strategy why not a jab or a kick first........... always move in with 3 strikes in one move then move around.
This is so c'mon in MMA got to relax break em down slowly not get to eager.
Felt the the same way like Stipe does since I first saw the fight and I love DC. Just those eyepokes were fucked up and watching the fight, I remember thinking how come no one is saying anything or doing anything, and then Stipe gets knocked out after another bad one near the end. Stipe wins the rematch, dont care what anyone says
Every aspect of this eyepoke thing is absurd. The victim has to pray that the ref sees it and at least gives him time to recover with no hope of the perpetrator getting docked a point. If the ref doesn't see it, the fighter has to try and demonstrate to the ref that he was poked in the eye while still defending himself. Then sometimes the ref lets him have a break, sometimes not, and there have even been times when the fighter says he got poked but replay shows he did not. It's a complete shit show.Another bush-league aspect of MMA is its inability to enforce its own rules. I know eye pokes aren’t easily prevented but come on, it’s obvious when a fighter is trying to use them. Seems like that might be the case with DC in that fight.
Give them one warning. After that take points away for Gods sake. Can you imagine how mad you’d be if an eye poke changed the flow of your fight? MMA seriously punishes those that follow the rules.
