Not liking how Stipe isn't accepting this loss whatsoever, blames the eye poke, and says he did everything right, "and just missed it."

All that being said, I like Stipe and think it's possible for him to win this fight, but he has to learn from the last fight, DC's clinch work is all time great.

Also the eye poke was pretty fucked up lol

Finally he comes out with it.

I knew for a fact that eyepoke has been bothering him since the loss because of how big of a factor it played in him getting caught, but he was too much of a sportsman to bring it up immediately after the loss.

He poked DC eyes as well so I don't care really. So all of Jones's wins don't count?

Well, when you get poked in the eye and you can't see well...makes it kinda tough to see all the punches being thrown at you. DC was warned multiple times about eye pokes in that match right?

    He’s getting knocked out again.

I'm not heavily invested in either as a fan. I thought the eyepoke had a definite impact on the fight.

there was definitely an eye poke... why he didn't tell the ref idk. I bet DC would have given him the benefit of the doubt and allowed him to recover.

Well hopefully he also realizes he has a vulnerability when exiting the clinch. Cormier said they noticed it and practiced it. Writing off losses as a fluke and not learning from them is just asking for it to happen again.

I agree...he'll absolutely get KO'd again if DC continues to stick his fingers in his eye.

What you don’t hear about is stipe digging in dc eyes before that.

I would make a gif but to hell with em!

Really, I thought it was him getting KTFO by that short punch that I thought was an elbow until the replay because they were so close.

Felt the the same way like Stipe does since I first saw the fight and I love DC. Just those eyepokes were fucked up and watching the fight, I remember thinking how come no one is saying anything or doing anything, and then Stipe gets knocked out after another bad one near the end. Stipe wins the rematch, dont care what anyone says

Finally? He said that after the fight.
Even though he gave a worse one to dc before that and dc kept fighting.

Well, it was a pretty bad eyepoke, and the KO came pretty much right after.

Eyepokes are low-key legal. Jones blatantly admits he does them on purpose, there are almost never repercussions.

Fighters are pretty much on their own to be careful against them and deal with them if / when they happen. The refs & commissions don’t give a fuck.
