Stipe blames DC loss on "Eye Poke"

giphy.gif
As much of a piece of shit Jones is, he knows a fake when he sees one. Takes one to know one applies here amazingly. And DC is the fakest piece of shit out there. DC plays a good character to score himself his media roles, and loved by the mma fan base - but with the above gif - how is the most blatant scumbag cheating move in good character? It's a fucking joke he isn't crucified by the mma community for that move. That isn't an accidental eye poke - that's a fucking intentional black belt level pracitsed kung-fu eyepoke. Should be an instant DQ. Let me ask you this - if someone intentionally headbutted someone, clear as day - lined them up and cracked them - wouldn't that be POS instant DQ worthy? I don't see how trying to blind someone that could have serious long term damage is any different. Fuck DC. I hope he gets flatlined by Stipe, Ngannou and Jones in 2020.

perhaps the eye poke was a part of it

stipe talks like liddell

Goddard warned him a bunch of times too, and yet did nothing. With the pro wrestling promo at the end of the fight, the whole thing stunk.

It's weird how both of Steips KO losses came from punches that didn't even seem that hard.

Not liking how Stipe isn't accepting this loss whatsoever, blames the eye poke, and says he did everything right, "and just missed it."

All that being said, I like Stipe and think it's possible for him to win this fight, but he has to learn from the last fight, DC's clinch work is all time great.

Also the eye poke was pretty fucked up lol

Hmm that's quite the poke to the face. But c'mon Stipe you got a beating by the original 3 piece.

Well, when you get poked in the eye and you can't see well...makes it kinda tough to see all the punches being thrown at you. DC was warned multiple times about eye pokes in that match right?

Well, it shows DC learned something from his fights against Jon Jones.

Well, it was a pretty bad eyepoke, and the KO came pretty much right after.

Eyepokes are low-key legal. Jones blatantly admits he does them on purpose, there are almost never repercussions.

Fighters are pretty much on their own to be careful against them and deal with them if / when they happen. The refs & commissions don’t give a fuck.
When did jones blatantly admit to poking? I wanna see the source, if you don’t mind.

He’s not wrong

Not good. He needs to be focused on this fight and not blame a fighter for his last loss.

Both times stipe was finished he had been eye poked within 10 to 20 seconds of the finish.. that tells a story I think.

Stipe can't handle losing

Thinks he's great cause he had a streak with post prime legends

I’m sure it affected him as much as any eye poke would

But DC did to him what he used to do to the big boys in Strikeforce, it was a vintage performance and I don’t see a reason he won’t be able to replicate that performance

I teach at 3 universities, am a PhD and MA from UCLA, and an honors BA from Cornell. I speak 3 languages fluently, have published over a dozen articles, and have two books under contract. Chances are I am considerably smarter than you.
Well i hope those chances payout, because i also noticed a slight rise in your odds for potential narcissism ;)

Oh and let me guess..... English, klingon and dothraki hehe

Oh god, MMA fighters kryptonite is eyepokes.
Who knew Moe from the Three Stooges could handle elite fighters?

Dude got tko by Struve of all people...

I see that there is a lot of confusion about the impact of eye poking on the result of the fight ... Let's include a little brain and try to logically conclude on the basis of the functioning of the eye. The human eye works by focusing and defocusing the small point, and thus on an average of 200 times per second, on the basis of which our brain of this mosaic creates an image. Logic requires that, if we are unable to create enough images, due to poor visibility or distraction due to the penetration of an object (finger) into the eye, the brain will not be able to send us the information about the danger that follows. Also, if the brain has not received the hazard information, it is safest to turn it off to prevent further danger (knocks you one that you dont see). For example, Miočić managed to survive the Nganu bombs, but he fell from the lighter blows from Cormier and Struwe. Very simple.

Anyone could see that untill now. Well, except Stipe.
